BRAKE SYSTEM: BRAKE FAIL RED CAS MESSAGE ILLUMINATED DURING TAXI. DURING TAXI I TRIED TO APPLY TOE BRAKES AND REALIZED OUR BRAKES HAD FAILED, LEFT SEAT. NO CAS MESSAGE YET. WHEN CAS MESSAGE ILLUMINATED AND ORAL WARNING SOUNDED, MY SIC TRIED TO APPLY HIS TOE BRAKES ALSO WITH NO LUCK. I GRABBED THE EMER BRAKE AND STOPPED US IMMEDIATELY. AFTER STOPPING WITH EMER BRAKE, BRAKE SYNOPTIC SHOWED 3000 PSI ALL 4 WHEELS. AIRPLANE WAS PARKED OUTSIDE FOR THE NIGHT IN 8 F TEMPERATURE. AIRPLANE HAD BEEN POWERED UP FOR 1.5 HOURS WITH APU. ALL WAS GOOD UNTIL BRAKE FAILURE. // SIGNOFF// POWERED UP A/C AND SET PARKING BRAKE. NOTED ALL PRESSURES CAME UP TO 3000. RAN ENGINES AND NOTED BRAKES FAIL CAS WOULD ILLUMINATE WHEN PARKING BRAKE WAS RELEASED AND ONLY 1/B BRAKE PRESSURES WOULD COME UP TO 3000 WHEN EITHER PILOTS OR C/P TOE BRAKES WERE ENGAGED WITH 50% DEGRADED CAS MSG PRESENT. PERFORMED GVI ON BRAKE C/B'S AND CYCLED EACH C/B. PERFORMED ANOTHER ENGINE RUN AND NOTED NOW BOTH 1/B AND 0/B BRAKE PRESSURES CAME UP NORMALLY WHEN TOE BRAKES APPLIED WITH NO CAS MSG. PARKING BRAKE COULD ALSO BE APPLIED SHOWING NORMAL PRESSURES AT ALL 4 BRAKES AND NO CAS MSG WHEN RELEASED. FORWARDED INFO TO MCC. MCC REQUESTS THAT THE RIGGING OF THE PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM BE CHECKED. GAINED ACCESS TO THE PARKING BRAKE VALVE AND FOUND THE CABLE OUT OF RIG AT .030" RE-RIGGED CABLE TO NORMAL RANGE AT .010 AND RE SAFETIED ALL CONNECTIONS. INSTALLED ALL PANELS REMOVED FOR ACCESS. PERFORMED AN ADDITIONAL ENGINE RUN AND VERIFIED PROPER OPERATION OF ALL NORMAL BRAKING AND EM ER/PARKING BRAKE FUNCTIONS. WORK DONE IAW CE-700AMM CH 32-43-00. MCC REQUESTED TAXI CHECK. ALLOWED AIRCRAFT TO COLD SOAK OVERNIGHT. PERFORMED ADDITIONAL EMR/PARKING BRAKE AND NORMAL BRAKE CHECKS. NO DEFECTS NOTED. PERFORMED NORMAL AND PARKING/EMER BRAKE CHECKS DURING SLOW SPEED TAXI. NO DEFECTS NOTED.
BOTH MAIN TIRES BLEW AFTER LANDING. LT GEAR DOOR IS DAMAGED & BOTH LT & RT ARE LEAKING HYD FLUID FROM THE CALIPERS. BOTH RIMS ARE DAMAGED. REMOVED LT & RT MLG WHEEL ASSEMBLIES FOR BEING FLAT SPOTTED UPON LANDING & INSTALLED OVERHAULED LT & RT MLG WHEEL ASSEMBLIES. WORK COMPLETED IAW THE MM 32-41-01.
REMOVED NR 2 ENGINE FROM SN 560-0786 DUE TO FAILURE OF THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER LINER COOLING RING SEGMENT SELF LOCKING NUTS. REF THE SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS 35-2013, BORESCOPE INSPECTION.
NOSE LANDING GEAR DOORS TORQUE TUBE IS BROKEN ON RIGHT SIDE. R & R NOSE GEAR DOOR TORQUE TUBE ASSY IAW MM 32-21-01, CHECKED ADJUSTMENT OF NOSE GEAR DOOR LINKAGES, ALL DIMENSIONS IAW MM 32-21-01, PERFORMED GEAR SWING SEVERAL TIMES, NO DEFECT NOTED PN ON 5542102-9 TORQUE TUBE ASSY. PN ON NAS 6204-10D (2) EA.
LT ENGINE INLET FAN FLANGE CRACKED APPROX AT 9 OCLOCK POSITION, CRACK IS 4" IN LENGTH.
CORROSION FOUND ON LT MLG WHEEL AXLE.
RIVETS FOUND MISSING (3 EA) FROM UPPER AND LOWER FLAP INTERCONNECT PULLEY BRACKETS (PN 6565059-5 AND 6565059-3) AT FUSELAGE STATION 354.00. RIVETS FOUND MISSING WHILE PERFORMING UNDER FLOOR INSPECTION. RIVETS PRESUMABLY OMITTED AT PRODUCTION.
LT MLG DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHT (GREEN) NOT ILLUMINATED WITH THE GEAR DOWN AND RED UNLOCKED/UNSAFE LIGHT IS ILLUMATED. TROUBLESHOT TO BROKEN LT GEAR DOWNLOCK WIRES. REPAIRED BROKEN WIRES. JACKED AIRCRAFT AND CYCLED GEAR. ALL OPS AND CLEARANCE CHECKS GOOD. ALL WORK DONE IAW MM 32-31-04.
DURING CRUISE FLT AT FL340, SMELLED AN ELECTRICAL ODOR AND HEARD A CB POP. VERIFIED CABIN FAN CB POPPED. REMAINDER OF FLT UNEVENTFUL + ODOR FREE. R&R FAN ASSY IAW MM CH 21-21-04 AND OPS CHECKED REF MM CH 21-21-04. ENGINE POWER APPLIED AND CB RESET AND A/C FAN SWITCH IN THE OFF POSITION CB DID NOT POP. WITH SWITCH IN EITHER POSITION A/C OR FAN, THE FAN CB POPPED. DID NOT SMELL ANY ELECTRICAL ODOR IN COCKPIT OR CABIN. INSTALL REPLACEMENT AFT CABIN FAN IAW AMM 21-21-04. REMOVED FAN WHEEL FROM MOTOR AND ITS MOUNTING BASE AND REMOVED THE BLOWER ASSY IAW AMM 21-21-04. INSTALL ALL REMOVED INTERIOR FURNISHINGS.
