DURING THE TAKEOFF ROLL , THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN, UN-COMMANDED 10 DEGREE LEFT ROLLING MOMENT ACCOMPANIED BY A LOUD MECHANICAL CLUNK AND BRIEF VIBRATION SHUDDER. EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND RETURNED TO DEPARTURE AIRPORT. LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR ASSEMBLY DUE TO SUSPECT STRUT EXTENDED LATE AFTER TAKE AND DURING GEAR RETRACTION. GEAR SWINGS WERE PERFORMED WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. ENGINE RUNS WERE ALSO PERFORMED WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. A SUCCESSFUL OPERATIONAL CHECK FLIGHT WAS PERFORMED. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

ATA 7120

CRACKS HAVE BEEN FOUND IN THE FIELD DURING ROUTINE VISUAL INSPECTIONS OF ENGINE MOUNT TRUSS/COWLING MOUNT ATTACH BRACKETS. THE CRACKS FOUND ARE ALMOST ALWAYS EXCLUSIVE TO THE UPPER RIGHT ENGINE MOUNT TRUSS (NR 1 ENGINE TRUSS UPPER INBOARD, NR 2 ENGINE TRUSS UPPER OUTBOARD). WE BELIEVE THE CRACKS ARE OCCURRING DUE TO EXCESSIVE VIBRATION CONDITIONS OR INADEQUATE WELD QUALITY DURING MANUFACTURING PROCESS. THE AFFECTED ENGINE TRUSS PART NUMBERS ARE: P/N’S 101-910122-53, 101-910122-69, ASSEMBLIES 130-910000-617, AND 130-910000-618. REPAIR OPTIONS CONSIST OF COMPLYING WITH BEECHCRAFT STANDARD REPAIR TITLED-CRACK, ENGINE MOUNT TRUSS, COWLING MOUNTING BRACKETS, DRAWING NR SR-KA-00034, REV 1, OR REPLACING CRACKED ENGINE TRUSS WITH APPLICABLE PART NUMBER REFERENCED IN CURRENT BEECHCRAFT KING AIR 300 SERIES ILLUSTRATED PARTS CATALOG.

DURING CRUISE FLIGHT AT FL290 ACFT EXPERIENCED A CABIN PRESS LOSS. AN EMER DESCENT WAS ACCOMPLISHED. ALL CABIN MASKS WERE DEPLOYED. LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. ACFT HAS BEEN RELEASED FOR AN OPERATIONAL CHECK FLIGHT. REPLACED THE LT MAIN GEAR SAFETY SWITCH, OUTFLOW VLV, SAFETY VLV, PRESSURIZATION DUMP SOLENOID, DUMP & TEST TOGGLE SWITCH, PRESET SOLENOID VLV & PRESS CONTROLLER. A SUCCESSFUL OPERATIONAL CHECK FLIGHT WAS PERFORMED. ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

DURING APPROACH, WHEN THE GEAR HANDLE WAS SELECTED TO DOWN POSITION THE GEAR FAILED TO EXTEND. REFERENCED THE QRH & DISCOVERED THE LG RELAY CIRCUIT BREAKER TRIPPED. RESET THE CIRCUIT BREAKER, GEAR EXTENSION WAS NORMAL & LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. SERVICED THE HYD RESERVOIR & ACCUMULATOR, PERFORMED SEVERAL GEAR SWINGS, INSPECTED GEAR UPLOCK SWITCHES & GEAR RELAY CIRCUIT BREAKER WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
