DURING CRUISE FLIGHT THE CREW REPORTED HYD SYS 1 HAD A LOW FLUID QTY WARNING MESSAGE. THE SYS SLOWLY DROPPED TO ZERO. AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES THE CREW REPORTED HYD SYS 1 WAS LOST. CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MX INSPECTED AND R & R THE NR 1 ENGINE HYD PUMP. SERVICED THE HYD SYS. SYS LEAK AND OPS CHECKED GOOD.
DURING POST FLIGHT INSPECTION THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THE PASSENGER DOOR WAS DIFFICULT TO OPEN AND CLOSE. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND LUBED THE PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE LINKAGE. DOOR OPS CHECKED GOOD.
DURING CLIMBOUT OF KIAD, GEAR WENT FROM DOWN AND LOCKED TO UP AND LOCKED WITHOUT A TRANSIT INDICATION. CREW THEN RETURNED A/C TO KIAD FOR MAINTENANCE TO TROUBLESHOOT. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND FOUND THAT THE RIGHT MLG UPLOCK NR 2 PROX SWITCH BAD. REMOVED AND REPLACED AND PERFORMED OPS CHECK OF LANDING GEAR GOOD.
F/A REPORTED FUEL SMELL IN AFT OF CABIN IN FLT, MORE PRONOUNCED AT ROWS 16 - 18. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AIRCRAFT FOR FUEL LEAKS IN INTERIOR PANELS, CARGO PANELS, EXTERIOR PANELS, LAV AREA, RAN ENGINES AND AIR CONDITIONING PACS, PERFORMED INSPECTION OF PRESSURE REFUELING. NO LEAKS AND SMELL WERE OBSERVED DURING ANY INSPECTIONS, ENGINE RUNS, OPS CHECK GOOD.
CREW REPORTED A LANDING GEAR AIR GROUND FAIL MSG, LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT ON TAKEOFF CLIMBOUT OF KORD. CREW RETURNED A/C WITH AN UNSCHEDULED LANDING TO KORD. MAINTENANCE INSTALLED GEAR PINS AND FERRIED A/C TO KSTL. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND FOUND BAD WIRE IN LEFT MLG NR 2 WOW HARNESS. MAINTENANCE THEN REPLACED THE LEFT MLG NR 2 WOW HARNESS, OPS CHECK GOOD.
DURING DESCENT INTO KSTL, THE A/C HAD A FLAP LOW SPEED MSG. THE CREW PERFORMED AN EMERGENCY LANDING. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED A FLAP MOTOR AND THE FLAP ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT WITH A NO FIX. MAINTENANCE THEN DEFERRED FLAP CHANNEL 1, OPS CHECK GOOD.
DURING TAKEOFF THE FLIGHT CREW RETRACTED THE LANDING GEAR BUT GOT A LANDING GEAR AIR/GND FAIL MESSAGE AND THE LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO STL. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND REMOVED AND REPLACED THE RIGHT WOW PROX SWITCH AND THE LEFT MAIN DOWNLOCK PROX SWITCH. LANDING GEAR OPS CHECKED GOOD.
DURING PRE-FLIGHT INSPECTION THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THE EMERGENCY LIGHT STRIP BY GALLEY WAS LOOSE. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND RE-SECURED THE LIGHT STRIP. SYSTEM OPS CHECKED GOOD.
DURING HEAVY CHECK INSPECTION MAINTENANCE FOUND THE CENTER FLOORBEAM AT FRAME 59 HAS LEVEL 2 CORROSION. MAINTENANCE REMOVED THE CORROSION FROM THE CENTER FLOORBEAM AT FRAME 59 AND REPAIRED THE CENTER FLOORBEAM AT FRAME 59 IAW ETD 2011-145-104686.

FLT NR 7978 RIC LANDING GEAR AIR/GND DISAGREE MESSAGE ON THE EICAS AND THE GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. MX INSPECTED AND FOUND THAT THE NLG WOW PROXIMITY SENSOR CONNECTOR WAS LOOSE AND THAT THE RH MLG AIR/GND PROXIMITY SWITCH WAS OUT OF ADJUSTMENT. CORRECTIONS WERE MADE AND THE SYSTEM CHECKED GOOD AS PER AMM PROCEDURES.
