DURING PREFLIGHT INSPECTION, FLIGHT CREW FOUND CAPTAIN`S FLASHLIGHT INOPERATIVE. MX INSPECTED AND INSTALLED A DISPOSABLE FLASHLIGHT ASSY.
DURING SCHEDULED MX, THE EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHT ABOVE THE SERVICE DOOR WAS FOUND INOP. MX INSPECTED AND DISCONNECTED AND CLEANED THE DC/AC INVERTERS NR 2 & NR 3. THEY RECONNECTED THE INVERTERS AND SYS OPS CHECKED GOOD.
DURING CRUISE FLIGHT THE AUTOPILOT FAILED. THE ELEVATOR JAMMED AND FLIGHT CREW PULLED THE ELEVATOR DISCONNECT. AIRCRAFT MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN CLE. MAINTENANCE RECONNECTED THE ELEVATOR DISCONNECT. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE CVR AND FDR FOR INVESTIGATION. INSPECTED THE ELEVATOR HINGE AREA,CHECKED COMPLETE RUN OF ELEVATOR CABLES, CHECKED AUTOPILOT CONNECTORS, PERFORMED FIM TASK 27-31-00-810-803-A ELEVATOR CONTROL STIFFNESS CHECK, INSPECTED ELEVATOR LINKS IN THE VERTICAL STAB, CHECKED CABLE TENSIONS. OPS CHECKED AUTOPILOT SYSTEM WHICH CHECKED GOOD. AT THE REQUEST OF THE NTSB THE ELEVATOR DISCONNECT WAS PULLED, A RIG PIN WAS INSTALLED IN THE ELEVATOR QUADRENT THE NTSB CHECK FOR PLAY IN THE CAPT'S YOKE. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED FOR WATER LEAKAGE AND OTHER COMPONENTS FOR SECURITY. CHECKED ELEVATOR HINGES FOR ANTI-ICE FLUID. ALL CHECKED GOOD. SYSTEM OPS CHECKED GOOD. AIRCRAFT THEN FLEW A MAINTENANCE TEST FLIGHT AND NO DEFECTS WERE NOTED. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
MAIN CABIN DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. MAINTENANCE ADJUSTED INNER DOOR HANDLE AND OPS CHECK GOOD.
DURING MAINTENANCE INSPECTION, FOUND THE AFT BULKHEAD EMERGENCY FLASHLIGHT INOP. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE FLASHLIGHT AND OPS CHECK GOOD.
AIRCRAFT HAD AN RAD ALT GPWS FAIL DURING CRUISE. CREW THEN PERFORMED AN UNSCHEDULE LANDING INTO KDAY. MAINTENANCE CALLED OUT AND INSPECTED AND DEFERRED THE RAD ALT, DEFERRED THE GPWS AND TCAS BECAUSE OF DEFERRING THE RAD ALT, OPS CHECK GOOD.
DURING HEAVY CHECK INSPECTION MAINTENANCE FOUND THE FLOOR SUPPORT ANGLE ON BEAM Y-479, FRAME18 HAS CORROSION. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED ANGLE.

DURING HEAVY CHECK INSPECTION MAINTENANCE FOUND THE GUSSETT ON RT OMEGA BEAM HAS CORROSION BETWEEN FRAMES 59 AND 61. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE GUSSETT ON RT OMEGA BEAM BETWEEN FRAMES 59 AND 61.
DURING A MAINTENANCE INSPECTION THE LT EXTERNAL OVERWING EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHT WAS FOUND INOP. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND REMOVED AND REPLACED THE LT EXTERNAL OVERWING EXIT LIGHT BULB. SYSTEM OPS CHECKED GOOD.
DURING DESCENT THE AIRCRAFT HAD A PRONOUNCED VIBRATION IN THE CONTROL YOKE, FLAPS AT 22 DEGREES, SPEED BETWEEN 140 AND 180, NO CHANGE, GEARS DOWN, NO CHANGE. ONCE FLAPS SET TO 45 DEGREES VIBRATION WENT AWAY. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND PERFORMED A FLAP LATERAL BACKLASH CHECK, PERFORMED A GVI OF THE ELEVATORS, AILERONS, RUDDER AND FLAPS. COULD NOT FIND A DEFINITIVE FAULT. RELEASED AIRCRAFT FOR A TEST FLIGHT. FLEW A TEST FLIGHT NO DEFECTS FOUND AND AIRCRAFT WAS RELEASED FROM TEST FLIGHT.
DURING POST FLIGHT INSPECTION THE FLIGHT CREW REPORTED THE EMERGENCY LIGHT STRIP LOOSE AT 1A. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND RE-SECURED THE LIGHT STRIP. SYSTEM OPS CHECKED GOOD.
THE CREW REPORTED THAT DURING CLIMBOUT OF IAD, RECEIVED A RUDDER 1 & 2 SYSTEM INOP MESSAGE ON THE EICAS. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED TROUBLESHOOTING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FIM AND FOUND THE CONDITION TO BE A TRANSITORY CONDITION. THE RUDDER SYSTEM FUNCTIONED NORMALLY.
FLT 8006 - IAD - PASSENGER DOOR DIFFICULT TO OPEN FROM INSIDE. MAINTENANCE RE-INDEXED THE MAIN DOOR INTERNAL HANDLE. DOOR OPERATION CHECKED GOOD.
PRE FLT 7923 - PHL - AISLE EMERGENCY LIGHT INOPERATIVE. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE BULB AT THE AFFECTED LIGHT.
FLT 7882 - CREW REPORTED SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECKS OF THE WINDSHIELD HEATING SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED CONNECTORS. MAINTENANCE ALSO INSPECTED ALL COCKPIT LIGHTS AND CONNECTIONS. NO MALFUNCTION WERE NOTED.

POST FLT NR 7938 - SYR - ALL EMERGENCY LIGHTS GO DIM DURING TEST. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED ALL EMERGENCY POWER SUPPLIES. OPS CHECK GOOD.
FLT NR 8020 - STL - BAG SMOKE EICAS. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED BOTH DETECTORS, OPS CHECK GOOD.
FLT NR 7920 - STL - BAG SMOKE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, PUSHED BAG FIRE BOTTLE BUTTON. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF FIRE. REMOVED AND REPLACED FIRE BOTTLES, OPS CHECK SMOKE DETECTION SYSTEM, OPS CHECK GOOD.
