FLIGHT 7777 RETURN TO BLOCK, WO 208-157019 DISCREPANCY. ON TAXI OUT LT BRAKE INOPERATIVE. INSPECTED BRAKE SYS, FOUND LT BRAKE CALIPER SEEPING, CHECKED LT MASTER CYLINDER & LINES. SUSPECT LT HARD LINE FROM PARKING BRAKE, VLV ALSO SEEPING, ALL OTHER LT SYS COMPONENTS CHECKED GOOD. RT CALIPER, MASTER CYLINDER & RT BRAKE LINES CHECKED GOOD. REMOVED LT CALIPER, CLEANED & INSPECTED ALL PARTS. REASSEMBLED WITH ALL NEW O RINGS. INSTALLED ON ACFT WITH NEW BRAKE LININGS, INSTALLED NEW HARDLINE FROM BRAKE VLV AFT BLED SYS & CHECKED FOR FURTHER LEAKAGE WITH NONE FOUND AT THIS TIME. PERFORMED NEW BRAKE BURN IN. BRAKE SYS CHECKED GOOD. ACCOMPLISHED IAW MM 32-40-00.
FLAT TIRE ON LANDING. ON TOUCHDOWN THE PILOT FELT THE ACFT PULL TO THE LT AND THE LT TIRE THUMPING. THE PILOT BROUGHT THE ACFT TO A STOP ON THE RUN WAY JUST SHORT OF THE TAXI WAY. ACFT TAXIED TO THE RAMP AFTER REPLACING THE WHEEL. INSP OF THE WHEEL ASSY FOUND THE INNER TUBE VALVE STEM CUT. REPLACED LT WHEEL ASSY.
AIR TURN BACK, FLT 8673 PDX-MFR - DURING TAKEOFF, THE HORIZONTAL SITUATION INDICATOR FLAGGED. PILOT COULD NOT RESET. PILOT ELECTED TO RETURN TO PDX. AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY. RECONNECTED LOOSE CONNECTOR TO HSI UNIT. (M)
APPROX 20 DME WEST OF GILA BEND THE PILOT REPORTED TO ABQ ARTCC, THAT HE HAD A LIGHTNING STRIKE AND WOULD ADVISE IF HE EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS. CONTINUED TO YUM WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE WAS DISPATCHED TO YUM TO INSPECT AIRCRAFT. MAINTENANCE REPORTED THE LIGHTNING HAD STRUCK THE SPINNER, PROPELLER HAD PIN HOLES AND THE LEFT ELEVATOR HAD PIN HOLES. (M)
FUEL PRESSUR LOW LIGHT ILLUMINATED IN FLIGHT FROM FLG TO PHX. LOUD NOISE IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT, COUPLED WITH ERRATIC FUEL FLOW INDICATING. USED EMERGENCY POWER LEVER FOR REMAINDER OF FLIGHT. AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO PRESCOTT AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. TROUBLE SHOT SYSTEM AND FOUND QA23 WIRE FROM FUEL PUMP PRESSURE SWITCH CHAFED AND INTERMITTENTLY GROUNDING AT AFT END OF GLOVE BOX. INSTALLED AND ROUTED NEW WIRE. PERFORMED A SATISFACTORY GROUND RUN WITH NO DISCREPANCIES. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
DEPARTING PHX ON CLIMB-OUT, PILOT NOTICED THE OIL PRESSURE FLUCTUATING FROM A LOW OF 80 PSI TO A HIGH OF 10 PSI (RED LINE). PILOT LEVELED OFF AND ELECTED TO RETURN TO PHX. MAINTENANCE IS CURRENTLY TROUBLESHOOTING THE PROBLEM. MAINTENANCE COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM DURING GROUND RUN. THE OIL FILTER WAS INSPECTED BUT NO CONTAMINATION WAS FOUND. THE OIL FILTER WAS REPLACED AS A PRECAUTION AND A SECOND ENGINE GROUND RUN WAS PERFORMED. OIL PRESSURE WAS NORMAL. OPERATIONAL CHECK FLIGHT WAS PERFORMED AND NO ABNORMALITIES WERE FOUND. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
DURING PILOT'S TAXI TO PARKING AFTER LANDING IN PHX, THE RIGHT BRAKE CAUGHT FIRE REQUIRING A FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO EXTINGUISH THE FLAME. THE FIRE LASTED FOR APPROX 2 MINUTES. UPON INSPECTION MX FOUND EVIDENCE THAT ONE BRAKE PISTON WAS LEAKING FLUID AROUND A FAILED O-RING. THIS WAS A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE. NO DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE AIRCRAFT. MX REPLACED THE COMPLETE WHEEL AND BRAKE ASSY IAW CESSNA MM. THE REMOVED WHEEL AND BRAKE ASSY ARE SCRAP. THE BRAKE ASSY WAS OVERHAULED IN DEC 1994 AND HAD A TOTAL TIME OF 510.3 HRS WHEN REMOVED ON THIS DATE. (M)
