BURNT SMELL NOTICED BY CREW ON CLIMB OUT. ALL INSTRUMENTS INDICATED GREEN, NO SMOKE OR FLAMES NOTICED. FIRST OFFICER COMMENTED HE MAY NOT HAVE SECURED THE OIL FILLER CAP. OIL PRESSURE STARTED TO FLUCTUATE AND THE DECISION WAS MADE TO RETURN TO THE DEPARTING STATION. UPON LANDING IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE CAP INDEED WAS NOT PROPERLY SECURED. NOT PARTS WERE FAULTY AS THIS DIFFICULTY WAS CAUSED BY THE CREW
CLT\CVG - FLT 5033 - ON CLIMB-OUT FROM CLT, THE NR 2 ENGINE HAD OIL PRESSURE FLUCTUATION. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITH NO OTHER PROBLEMS. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE O-RING TO THE RIGHT AC GENERATOR. SHAFT SERVICED ENGINE WITH OIL, RUN AND OPS CHECKED GOOD. (X)
CLT/OAJ - FLT 5173 - DURING TAXI-OUT AT CLT, THE BAGGAGE BAY SMOKE DETECTOR WENT OFF. NO SMOKE WAS NOTED. PASSENGERS WERE DE-PLANED. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES WERE DECLARED (PRECAUTIONARY). MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED THE BAGGAGE BAY SMOKE DETECTOR. SYSTEM OPS CHECKED GOOD. (X)

MSP - FLT 3414 - DURING CLIMB-OUT, THE FIRST OFFICER'S ATTITUDE INDICATOR SHOWED PITCH UP IN EXCESS OF 30 DEGREES. CREW TRIED TO RESET AHRS NR 2 CIRCUIT BREAKER WITH NO CHANGE. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO MSP. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED NR 2 AHRS COMPUTER. OPS CHECK GOOD. (X)

FLT NR 2907 - ON DEPARTURE FROM DTW, AFTER GEAR RETRACTION, THE NOSE GEAR INTRANSIT LIGHT CYCLED ON AND OFF. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO DTW AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE NOSE GEAR DRAG STRUT WORN. DRAG STRUT AND DRAG STRUT SENSOR WERE REPLACED, P/N 8200103, 864202. GEAR SWINGS WERE COMPLETED. ALL CHECKS WERE GOOD. (M)

TVC - FLT 3183 - ON APPROACH, THE NOSE GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED AFTER GEAR EXTENSION. THE CREW PERFORMED AN ALTERNATE LANDING GEAR EXTENSION. ALL INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL. MAINTENANCE WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE DISCREPANCY. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED A POST-FLIGHT MEMORY CHECK OF THE PSEU, NO FAULTS RECORDED. THE GEAR WAS CLEANED AND LUBED AS A PRECAUTION. (X)
FLT NR 3399 - DURING TAXI AT DTW, THE CREW REPORTED THE BRAKES REQUIRED A LOT OF PRESSURE TO ENGAGE AND WOULD THEN LOCK UP. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL FOUND THE BRAKE CABLE CHAFING AGAINST A CABIN INTERIOR PANEL. THEY REPOSITIONED THE PANEL AND FUNCTIONALLY TESTED THE BRAKE SYSTEM. ALL SYSTEMS OPERATED SATISFACTORILY. (M)
FLT 3442 - WHILE TAXIING IN FNT, WITH THE BLEED AIR SELECTED ON, THE CABIN AND FLIGHT COMPARTMENT FILLED WITH FUMES. THE CREW SELECTED THE BLEED AIR OFF AND SMOKE WAS NOTED IN THE FLIGHT COMPARTMENT. INVESTIGATION IS CONTINUING. (W)
DTW - FLT 3131 - ON APPROACH, NOSE GEAR GREEN LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE DURING GEAR EXTENSION. THE GEAR WAS VERIFIED TO BE DOWN AND LOCKED. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT IN DTW. MAINTENANCE REPLACED BOTH NOSE GEAR DOWN LIGHT BULBS. SYSTEM OPERATED SATISFACTORILY. (X)
