THE CABIN HEATER WAS ON AND AS USUAL SMALL AMOUNT OF SMOKE & ENGINE CLEANER ODOR IS PRESENT WHEN HEATER IS INITIALLY TURNED ON. CREW INFORMED PASSENGERS THAT THIS WAS NORMAL. DURING TAKEOFF THE AFT BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ILLUMINATED. TAKEOFF WAS ABORTED , RETURNED TO BASE & LANDED. HEATER WAS TURNED OFF.VISUALLY INSPECTED BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF SMOKE OR FIRE. MAINTENANCE LATER FOUND CRACK IN BAGGAGE COMP. HEATER DUCT WHICH WAS REPAIRED.
OIL PRESSURE ON #2 ENGINE FLUCTUATING BETWEEN 30-45PSI , OIL TEMP BEGAN TO DECREASE FROM 74 DEG C - 67 DEG C . OIL PRESSURE LIGHT ILLUMINATED . ENGINE WAS SECURED. CREW DIVERTED TO 2LS0.
POSITION LIGHT COVER WAS DISCOVERED MISSING DURING POST FLIGHT WALK AROUND.
ON CLIMBOUT FROM GNO CREW NOTICED SMOKE IN COCKPIT AND AFT BAGGAGE COMP SMOKE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO BASE, UPON LANDING SMOKE WAS VISIBLE IN BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT AND A STRONG SMELL OF SMOKE WAS EVIDENT.
