LEFT ENGINE FIRE MASTER WARNING MESSAGE AT FLIGHT LEVEL 260. SHUTDOWN LEFT ENGINE AND RETURNED TO AIRPORT. FOUND LEFT ENGINE LOW PRESSURE TURBINE CASE COOLING DUCT RUPTURED. REPLACED DUCT.

CREW MADE DETERMINATION TO RETURN, DUE TO PREVIOUS DIVERT FOR SAME ISSUE. LANDED SAFELY WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT. ACFT REMOVED FROM SERVICE. REPLACED PSEU DRIVE CARD 007. PERFORMED BITE ON PSEU, NO FAULTS. VERIFICATION FLIGHT FAILED. ACFT MX FERRY FOR CORRECTION. ADJUSTED LE SLAT SENSOR S286 IAW AMM 27-11-00. LE RVDT M548 ADJUSTED IAW AMM 27-81-02. REPLACED FSEU IAW AMM 27-51-01. ADJUSTED SENSOR S268 FOR AIR & GND DISAGREE. AUTO BRAKES TESTED GOOD IAW AMM & FIM.

ALSO CLEANED SENSORS & PERFORMED BITE OF PROX BOX IAW FIM 32-09 FT805. SYS OPERATIONS CHECKED GOOD IAW AMM 32-09-03.

DURING A3 CHECK, INSPECTION FOUND COCKPIT DOOR EMER LIGHT INOPERATIVE. R & R LIGHT ASSEMBLY IAW AMM 33-51-01. OPERATIONAL TESTED NORMAL.
AIRCRAFT ARRIVED WITH NO INBD WRITE-UPS. WHILE MX WAS DOING THE ENG START CHECKLIST TO START TROUBLESHOOTING THE LT ENG PRSOV MEL, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE LT ENG FIRE DETECT SYS WOULD NOT TEST & ONLY NR 2 OVHT LOOP WOULD TEST. AFTER OPENING THE LT ENG COWLINGS FOUND TERMINALS BROKEN ON THE AFT UPPER A LOOP & AFT LOWER B LOOP & TERMINAL BROKEN ON THE SYS 1 OVHT LOOP. R & R LT ENG UPPER AFT FIRE ELEMENT IAW AMM 26-11-02 201. TROUBLE SHOT IAW FIM 26-11 FT-804. R& R LT ENG FIRE OVERHEAT DETECTOR ELEMENT IAW AMM 26-11-02 201. OPERATIONAL TEST NORMAL & ACFT RETURNED TO SERVICE.
CLIMBING THROUGH 4000' CREW HAD HIGH ENG VIBRATION WITH EGT GOING INTO YELLOW ARC ON LT ENG. ENG PULLED BACK TO IDLE THRUST & STILL HAD VIBRATION. ENG SHUTDOWN & RETURNED. VISUAL DAMAGE TO TURBINE BLADES. UPON INSPECTION, BORESCOPE, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT TURBINE BLADE FAILURE WAS THE REASON FOR THE VIBRATION. R &R NR 1 ENG, PERFORMED VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE PYLON, COMPLETED ENG RUN CHECKS & LEAK CHECKS, SEE LOG PAGES 005040 THRU LOGPAGES 005150. ENG CHANGE COMPLIED WITH & ALL ITEMS CLEARED. ACFT READY FOR SERVICE.
