DME 1 CIRCUIT BREAKER POPPED WITH HEAVY ELECTRIC FIRE SMELL.
AUTO FEATHER FAILED TO ARM ON TAKEOFF. TAKE OFF ABORTED. FOUND CORRODED CANNON PLUG 9811-P14 AT R/H WING ROOT. THE PROBLEM WAS AT FIRST GLANCE THE CANNON PLUG LOOKED FINE. THIS MADE IT DIFFICULT TO TROUBLESHOOT. AFTER REMOVING THE HEAT SHRINK PROTECTING THE BACK SIDE OF THE CANNON PLUG WAS THE CORROSION REVEALED. THE HEAT SHRINK SEEMED TO HOLD IN THE MOISTURE, AND BEING IN THE WING ROOT, DEICE FLUID IN THE AREA CAN ADD TO THE PROBLEM. LOGGED IN OUR SYSTEM AS 7H-NRW-27089 WITH PICTURES OF CORRODED PART. OPEN THIS CANNON PLUG UP TO CHECK ITS CONDITION FOR HIDDEN CORROSION AS PART OF TROUBLESHOOTING THIS ITEM.

AFTER SELECTING GEAR UP IN TRANSIT AND NOSE GEAR DOOR FLASHED ON AND OFF MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE SHOWING GEAR UP AND LOCKED. CORRECTION: INSPECTED NOSE GEAR AND FOUND NO DEFECTS REMOVED AND REPLACED PSEU AND TESTED IAW DHC-8 MM 32-61-50 PERFORMED GEAR SWING AND OPERATIONAL CHECKS OF GEAR SYSTEM IAW DHC-8 MM 32-30-00 SYSTEM OPS CHECKS GOOD OK FOR SERVICE.
DURING CLIMBOUT, THE RT AC BUSS FAILED. CAUTION LIGHTS RT AC, RT TRU, RT ELEVATOR HORN HEAT AND RIGHT STALL WARNING ILLUMINATED. REMOVED AND REPLACED NR 2 ENGINE GCU PERFORMED OPS CHECK OF SYSTEM IAW MM 24-21-01 OPS CHECKED GOOD, OK FOR SERVICE.
NUMBERS 2 AND 4 OVERHEAD AND SOME EMERGENCY EXIT SIGNS FLICKERING. R & R PS3 AND PS4 EMERGENCY LIGHT POWER SUPPLIES IAW MM 33-52-00, OPS CHECKED GOOD. OK FOR SERVICE.

LANDING GEAR ON RETRACTION FAILED TO FULLY RETRACT. EVENTUALLY GEAR DID RETRACT BUT "L DOOR" REMAINED ON. ON EXTENSION NOSE GEAR FULLY EXTENDED ONLY AFTER A LONG DELAY. FOUND NLG DOOR BELLCRANK TO BE BROKEN. R&R'D IAW DHC-8 MAINTENANCE MANUAL 32-20-22. GEAR SWINGS C/W. OP CHECKS GOOD.
INTERMITTENT HDG FLAG ON NR 1 HSI AND AHRS HDG DATA INVALID. REPLACED NR 1 CAPTAIN`S STRAP DOWN AHRU AND GROUND TEST GOOD IAW MM 34-20-00.
LEFT RUDDER ISOLATION VALVE BODY CRACKED AND LEAKING. R & R LT RUDDER ISOLATION VALVE IAW MM 29-10-43. UNIT BLED AND LEAK CHECKED GOOD. OPS CHECK IAW 1-8-2, 29-10-43, OPS CHECKED GOOD.
ROLL SPOILER OTBD HYD CAUTION LIGHT ILLUMINATED. UNABLE TO VERIFY PROBLEM ON GROUND, REPLACED RELAY AND ROLL SPOILER ARM OTBD CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR TROUBLESHOOTING. GROUND TEST GOOD IAW MM 20-45-01. SYS TEST GOOD ON TEST FLIGHT.
SUSPECTED ENVIROMENTAL SMOKE IN CABIN ACCOMPANIED BY STRONG ODOR AND GRAY SMOKE. COULD NOT DUPLICATE ON GROUND RUNS APPROVED FOR FERRY FLT. INSPECTED ENGINES AND ACM/DUCTING NO DEFECTS NOTED. ACOMMPLISHED IAW MM 71-00-00. ALL SYS OPERATED NORMALLY, OK FOR CONTINUED SERVICE.
