PILOT TAXIED, AT HOLD SHORT LINE TO RUNWAY, THE LEFT BRAKE FAILED. PILOT APPLIED FULL RT BRAKE AND WAS ABLE TO REGAIN FULL LT BRAKE EFFECTIVENESS BY PUMPING THE BRAKE. ACFT RETURNED TO BLOCKS FOR TROUBLESHOOTING. MX TROUBLESHOT SYS TO LT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER. LT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER R & R IAW MM 32-40-00.
STRONG SMELL OF BURNING OR BURNT INSULATION AND A SLIGHT HAZE OF SMOKE IN COCKPIT. BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT INSTRUMENT PANELS AND WIRING WERE INSPECTED FOR OBVIOUS DAMAGE. PERFORMED GROUND RUNS WITH ALL COCKPIT INSTRUMENTS ON AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
(MRR NR 01-020405) DURING DEPARTURE, PILOT NOTICED AN ENGINE POWER LOSS AND FLUCTUATION AND ABORTED THE TAKEOFF. AFTER REDUCING POWER, THE PILOT EXPERIENCED A STRONG FUEL SMELL IN THE COCKPIT. MAINTENANCE FOUND THAT THE NR 10 FUEL NOZZLE TRANSFER TUBE WAS LOOSE AND LEAKING FUEL. REPLACED ALL O-RINGS, FUEL NOZZLE GASKET AND RESCUED TRANSFER TUBE AND FUEL NOZZLE. (NM05200503118) (K)
HNL - FLT 8666 - ON CLIMB-OUT, PILOT REPORTED ''FUEL FUMES IN COCKPIT''. AIR TURNBACK TO HNL. FUEL ACCUMULATION IN ENGINE COWL DUE TO LOOSE FUEL LINE CONNECTION AT FIREWALL FUEL FILTER. TIGHTENED THE NOSE FITTING, FLUSHED COWLING WITH SOAP AND WATER. PERFORMED GROUND RUN-UP LEAK CHECK. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. (X)
