DURING FLIGHT, OVEN BEGAN TO SMOKE AND FIRE ODOR WAS DETECTED. OVEN WAS TURNED OFF AND ACFT LANDED SAFELY. CREW REPORTS THAT AT THE TIME, INSPECTED THE UNIT AND FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF OVERHEATING IN THE UNIT OR THE WIRING. UNIT OPERATED NORMALLY AT 300 AND 450 DEGREES; NO SMOKE, BURNING ODORS, OR FIRE WAS NOTED.

DURING FLIGHT, WHEN PAX ATTEMPTED TO USE THE MICROWAVE OVEN, OVEN GENERATED SPARKS. AFTER LANDING CREW NOTICED A HOLE THAT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN BURNED THROUGH ON THE TOP SIDE OF THE COOKING CAVITY. OPEN

IN FLIGHT CREW REPORTED EICAS FAIL ACCOMPANIED WITH SMOKE IN THE COCKPIT. THE EICAS DISPLAY CIRCUIT BREAKER TRIPPED AND THE SMOKE DISSIPATED. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE NR 3 EICAS DISPLAY INOPERATIVE. AN INSPECTION OF ALL ASSOCIATED WIRING WAS COMPLIED WITH. NO DEFECTS WERE NOTED. THE DISPLAY WAS REPLACED, NO FURTHER SMOKE WAS NOTED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
