CREW NOTICED FUEL SMELL IN THE BACK OF THE AIRCRAFT DURING FLIGHT. INSPECTED AIRCRAFT, REMOVED CENTER FLOOR BOARD CROSS TUNNEL COVER AND INSPECTED AREA AND NO DEFECTS NOTED. REINSTALLED CROSS TUNNEL COVER. ALL WORK IAW BHT407-MM-CH 28.
FUEL ODOR NOTED IN THE CREW CABIN IN FLIGHT. ODOR DID NOT DIMINISH FOR THE DURATION OF THE FLIGHT. REMOVE THE FUEL CELL INTERCONNECT COVER AND REINSTALLED THE FUEL CELL INTERCONNECT COVER IN REFERENCE TO THE BHT-MM-407 CH 28. PERFORMED A FUEL PRESSURE LEAK CHECK IN REFERENCE TO THE BHT-MM-407 CH 28. NO DEFECTS NOTED.
FUEL SMELL IN AIRCRAFT CABIN. IDENTIFIED PREFORMED PACKING TORN AT FORWARD TO AFT FUEL CELL INTERCONNECT FITTING P/N 407-062-017-101. REPLACED PREFORMED PACKING P/N MS29513-222. LEAK CHECK GOOD, NO DEFECTS NOTED.
TWO OF 12 WHEEL BOLTS (FROM 2 WHEELS) WERE FOUND REJECTABLE FOR CRACKS. ALL 12 BOLTS WILL BE REPLACED. THESE PARTS WERE TESTED FOR MILLION AIR, SALT LAKE CITY, UT, IAW ASTM E-1444-94A.
