AFTER DEPARTING BED DURING OUR CLIMB TO ALTITUDE WE RECEIVED NUMEROUS A/I WING HOT R CAS MESSAGES WE RAN THE CHECK LIST FOR ABOVE CAS MESSAGE PERFORMING ACTION DESCRIBED. AFTER CAS MESSAGE REOCCURED WITH ALL ANTI ICE OFF AND REDUCING POWER ON THE RT ENGINE THE CREW DECIDED TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY. AFTER DISCUSSING THE SITUATION WITH OPERATIONS THE DECISION WAS MADE TO CHANGE OUR DESTINATION TO RYY BECAUSE THAT WAS THE CLOSEST SUITABLE AIRPORT WITH VFR CONDITIONS NOT REQUIRING A DESCENT THROUGH ICING CONDITION. EVENTUALLY THE CAS MESSAGE WENT OUT AND STAYED OUT. THE FLIGHT PROCEDED WITH OUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

DURING CHECK-C MAINT IN THE AFT CARGO COMPT FOUND CORROSION ON INTERCOSTAL AT STA 1309 TO 1322, BELOW THE LT CHAIR TRACK. REMOVED CORROSION PER SRM 51-10-3. INSTALLED FITTING PER DRAWING 3936595, ATTACHING INTERCOSTAL TO FORMER.
DURING CHECK-C MAINT IN THE AFT CARGO COMPT THE RT TIE DOWN WAS CORRODED FROM STA 1212 TO 1322. REPLACED WITH NEW TRACK PER SRM 51-30-1, STA 1212 TO 1322.

DURING CHECK-C MAINT THE AFT CARGO COMPT DOOR SILL WAS CORRODED AT STA 1155 TO 1212. INSTALLED NEW BEAM PER SPM 6-70-1, SRM 51-30-2 AND SRM 51-30-5. TREATED AREA PER SRM 51-10-3.
DURING CHECK-C MAINT, THE NUMBER 1 (LT OUTBOARD) FLOOR TRACK WAS CORRODED BEYOND LIMITS AT STA 797 TO 1003. REPLACED FLOOR TRACK PER SRM 51-30-1 AND SPM 6-70-01.

DURING CHECK-C MAINT IN THE FWD CARGO COMPT FOUND THE FLOOR TO AFT BULKHEAD SUPPORT WAS CRACKED IN THE RADIUS, STA 541 AND LONGERON 29L. REPLACED CRACKED ANGLE PER 51-30 AND 51-10-3, USING ORIGINAL TYPE FASTENERS.
DURING CHECK-C MAINT THE LT TIE DOWN TRACK WAS CORRODED IN THE MID CARGO COMPT AT STA 636 TO 693. REPLACED TRACK FROM STA 514 TO 790 PER SRM 53-05, FIG 6, AND SRM 51-30 AND 51-6.
DURING CHECK-C MAINT IN THE FWD CABIN FOUND HEAVY CORROSION 12 INCHES INBOARD OF THE FWD SERVICE DOOR THRESHOLD, ON FLOOR PLATE. REMOVED OLD FLOOR PLATE AND REPLACED WITH NEW. INSTALLED PER SPM 6-70-01.
DURING CHECK-C MAINT FOUND CABIN FLOOR SUPPORT ANGLE AT STA 1155, BETWEEN LBL 27 INCHES TO 45 INCHES, HAD CORROSION. REMOVED RIVETS. IDENTIFIED MATERIAL PER SRM 53-14-3, FIG 12 SHEET 1 AND 2. FABRICATED NEW AND INSTALLED PER SRM 51-20-0.
DURING CHECK-C MAINT FOUND CORROSION AT STA 1250, LBL 24 INCHES TO LBL 44 INCHES, CABIN FLOOR FRAME. REMOVED AND TREATED CORROSION PER SPM 6-80-01 AND SRM 51-10-3. INSTALLED FLOOR SUPPORT PER SPM 6-70-01 AND SRM 51-30-5.
DURING CHECK-C MAINT THE FLOOR TRACK WAS CORRODED IN SEVERAL AREAS AT LBL 21 INCHES, STA 1136 TO 1309. REMOVED AND REPLACED TRACK PER SRM 53-05 AND SPM 6-30-01, LBL 21 AND STA 1117 TO 1329.
DURING CRUSE FLIGHT 253 HAD A INDICATION OF SMOKE IN THE AFT. CARGO BIN. THE FLIGHT CREW MADE AN UNSCHEDULED LANDING AND FIRED THE AFT CARGO BIN FIRE BOTTLE. CAUSE- FALSE WARNING. REPLACED #1 AND 2 FIRE BOTTLES P/N 892857, FILTER ASSEMBLY, AFT CARGO BIN CELL AND DETECTORS #1-2-3 IN AFT CARGO BIN. LAST CHECK C 12/18/00 STL. ---CLOSED---
STRONG VIBRATION FELT AND HEARD IN FWD PART OF THE AIRCRAFT DURING CLIMB. FLIGHT RETURNED TO STL. THE EXTERNAL POWER DOOR UPPER LATCH WAS NOT SECURED. RESECURED THE LATCH. CHECK-C 12-18-01 LAX.
THE FIRST CLASS OVERHEAD EMERGENCY LIGHTS WERE INOPERATIVE. REPLACED THE POWER SUPPLY. CHECK-C 12-13-99 MCI.
IN CRUISE LOST CABIN PRESSURIZATION. CREW ACCOMPLISHED AN EMERGENCY DESCENT. PSU MASKS DID NOT DROP. FOUND RT PACK HOT AIR TRIM DUCT CRACKED AND LEAKING. WELDED THE DUCT. CHECK-C 12-13-99.
THE AFT SECTION OF CABIN EGRESS LIGHTS WERE INOPERATIVE. REPLACED THE BATTERY PACK. CHECK-C 12-20-99.
DURING CHECK-C MAINT, THE AFT ACCESSORY COMPARTMENT AT STA 1380 BULKHEAD, HAD WORN AREA THROUGH WEB BELOW LONGERON 4L. REPAIRED BULKHEAD PER SRM 53-01, FIG 2 SHEET 3 PAGE 9. DOUBLER TREATED AND PRIMED PER SRM 51-10-03, PAGE 16 AND 18.
A .25 INCH PULLED RIVET WAS FOUND AT STA 50, LONGERON 20. EDDY CURRENT SHOWED NO CRACK. INSTALLED .25 INCH IN SOLID RIVET PER SRM 53-01, FIG 1. CHECK-C 1-10-99 STL.
SOME SMOKE AND SLIGHT BURNING ODOR REPORTED IN THE CABIN. THE -C- PHASE 50 AMP CB, AND A COUPLE OTHER BREAKERS, POPPED. FLIGHT DIVERTED TO IND. FOUND THE RECIRC FAN MOTOR HAD OVERHEATED, CAUSING OTHER BREAKERS TO POP. THE RECIRC FAN WAS DEFERRED PER MEL FOR REPLACEMENT AT A MAINTENANCE STATION. CHECK-C 12-30-97 MCI.
A CATERER REPORTED BEING UNABLE TO OPEN THE R-1 CABIN DOOR. FOUND A BROKEN CONTROL ROD FOR THE DOOR LOWER GATE. REPLACED ROD. CHECK-C 12-30-97 MCI. ACFT TT: 45,209 HOURS. ACFT TC: 23,365. (X)

MCI - DURING CRUISE, SHUT DOWN NR 1 ENGINE, S/N 3208, DUE TO RAPID DETERIORATION OF ENGINE PARAMETERS. FOUND TURBINE DAMAGE. CHANGED ENGINE. ENGINE OPERATION THEN CHECKED NORMAL. (M)
