AT 43,000 FT THE AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT MAINTAIN PRESSURIZATION, CREW TOOK AIRCRAFT DOWN TO 22,000 FT AND MAINTAIN AT 8.6. REMOVED AND REPLACED BAGGAGE DOOR SEAL CHECK VALVE. (K)
ON OCTOBER 6, 1997, EN ROUTE AND DURING CRUISE CONFIGURATION AT FL 370 AT APPROX 8:00 Z, THE PILOT SAW SMALL AMOUNTS OF ELECTRICAL ARCING COMING FROM LEFT SIDE FRONT WINDSHIELD. THE AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO JET AVIATION IN BASEL SWITZERLAND (GULFSTREAM SERVICE CENTER). THE WINDSHIELD HAD A FEW SMALL CRACKS FROM THE HEATING SYSTEM. FAILURE DUE TO WATER INTRUSION THROUGH THE PROTECTIVE SILICONE SEAL BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD AND THE HEATING ELEMENT. THE HEATING SYSTEM WAS OPERATIONALLY TESTED, AND THE WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED. REQUIRED INSPECTION WAS CONDUCTED BY THE AUTHORIZED RII INSPECTOR. THE REPLACMENT WINDSHIELD HAS INCORPORATED MODIFICATIONS WHICH SHOULD RESOLVE FUTURE OCCURRENCES OF THIS NATURE.
EN ROUTE FROM LAGUARDIA TO NICE FRANCE ON AN FAR PART 91 FLT, WHEN DURING CRUISE CONFIGURATION COMBINED HYD PRESSURE WAS LOST. THE FLIGHT CREW CONTINEUD TO DESTINATION DEPLOYING THE LANDING GEAR USING THE ALTERNATE SYSTEM AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE AUDITED AND AUTHORIZED A LOCAL MAINTENANCE AGENCY AND REPAIRS WERE COORDINATED RETURNING THE AIRCRAFT TO SERVICE. (M)
EN ROUTE FROM NEWARK, DURING CRUISE AT FLT LEVEL 410, A LOUD REPORT WAS RECEIVED FROM THE FRONT RT WINDSHIELD. ELECTRICAL ARCHING AND NUMEROURS CRACKS IN THE HEATED OUTER PLY WERE OBSERVED. THE A/C DIVERTED TO SAVANNAH. THE HEATING SYSTEM COMPONENTS WERE OP TESTED AND THE HEATER CONTROL UNIT AND THE EFFECTED WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED. REPAIRS WERE FACILITATED RETURNING THE AIRCRAFT TO SERVICE. REQUIRED INSPECTION WAS CONDUCTED. THE REPLACEMENT WINDSHIELD HAS INCORPORATED MODIFICATIONS WHICH SHOULD RESOLVE FUTURE OCCURRENCES OF THIS NATURE.
POST-FLIGHT INSPECTION REVEALED RUBBER TIP OF SPINNER, PN JR28305, WAS MISSING AND DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CASE ACOUSTICAL LINING. SUSPECT RUBBER TIP HAD SEPARATED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT BONDING TO SPINNER. RECOMMENDED BETTER ADHESIVE OR BETTER BONDING PROCESS. ACOUSTICAL LINING WAS REPAIRED AND AN OVERHAULED SPINNER WAS INSTALLED. AIRCRAFT WAS OPERATIONALLY CHECKED AND RETURNED TO SERVICE.
