CREW REPORTED THAT THE NOSE WHEEL STEERING MALFUNCTIONED DURING TAXI TO PARKING AFTER LANDING. MAINTENANCE TROUBLESHOT AND DETERMINED THAT THERE WERE TWO BROKEN WIRES AT THE CONNECTOR PLUG B2P1 FOR THE NOSE WHEEL STEERING ACTUATOR. THE BROKEN WIRES WERE REPAIRED AT THE CANNON PLUG PER THE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANUAL, FUNCTIONAL CHECKS WERE FOUND TO BE SATISFACTORY. SERVICE BULLETIN 45-32-12 HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY COMPLIED WITH. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE LEAR 45 FLEET.
DURING A FLIGHT, THE CREW REPORT INDICATED THAT THEY RECEIVED INDICATION OF LOW OIL PRESSURE FOR THE LT ENGINE. THE CREW COMPLETED CHECKLIST ITEMS, REDUCED POWER TO IDLE ON THE AFFECTED ENGINE. THE CREW THEN DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND ELECTED TO DIVERT TO AN ALTERNATE AIRPORT KLBL FOR A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING. AFTER LANDING THE CREW FOUND THAT ENGINE OIL WAS COATING THE LEFT SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT AFT OF THE PYLON. TROUBLESHOT THE ENGINE FOR THE LEAKS THAT CAUSE THE LOSS OF OIL. T DETERMINED THAT THE OIL TANK FILL TUBE O-RING WAS CUT AND ALLOWED OIL TO VENT OVERBOARD. THE OIL FILTER AND CHIP DETECTOR WERE CHECKED FOR METAL DEBRIS, BUT NONE WAS NOTED. A NEW O-RING WAS INSTALLED ONTO THE FILLER CAP. THE OIL TANK WAS DETERMINED NOT TO BE COMPLETELY EMPTY AND ONLY REQUIRED 3.5 QUARTS OF FRESH OIL TO INDICATE FULL. ENGINE RUNS TO FULL POWER WERE COMPLETED AND NO LEAKAGE WAS DETECTED. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
DURING CRUISE FLIGHT NR 2, DU-870, DISPLAY FLICKERED THEN WENT BLANK. SWITCHED INFORMATION TO NR 3, DU-870 DISPLAY, SHORTLY AFTER THIS NR 3 DISPLAY UNIT FLICKERED THEN WENT BLANK ALSO. AFTER LANDING, TROUBLESHOT BOTH DISPLAYS, BY INSPECTING WIRE HARNESSES, AND CHECKING FOR POWER AND GROUNDS. NO DEFECTS NOTED OF THE WIRING. BOTH DISPLAYS FAILED INTERNALLY. REPLACED BOTH UNITS WITH REPAIRED AND UPGRADED MOD STATUS UNITS.
DURING CRUISE FLIGHT NR 3, DU-870 DISPLAY UNIT FLICKERED THEN WENT BLANK SHORTLY AFTER SWITCHING NR 2, DU-870 DISPLAY UNIT INFORMATION TO NR 3 POSITION, BECAUSE NR 2 DISPLAY HAD GONE BLANK BEFORE NR 3. AFTER LANDING, TROUBLESHOT BOTH DISPLAYS, BY INSPECTING WIRE HARNESSES, AND CHECKING FOR POWER AND GROUNDS. NO DEFECTS NOTED OF THE WIRING. BOTH UNITS FAILED INTERNALLY. REPLACED BOTH UNITS WITH REPAIRED AND UPGRADED MOD STATUS UNITS.
