LOWER SUPPORTING ANGLE CRACKED FROM MANY YEARS AND HOURS OF FATIGUE. THIS ACFT HAS BEEN OPERATED ON UNIMPROVED BACK COUNTRY DIRT LANDING STRIPS WHICH POUND AND SHAKE THESE ACFT EXTREMELY. THIS TYPE OF PART FAILURE IS TO BE EXPECTED UNDER THE CONDITIONS THIS ACFT HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO. THIS WAS NOT A FAILURE WHICH WOULD CAUSE A CONTROL LOSS AIRWORTHINESS. (K)
ON APPROACH TO MEMPHIS, WHEN LANDING GEAR WAS SELECTED DOWN, GEAR EXTENDED NORMALLY BUT FAILED TO GIVE A DOWN AND LOCKED GREEN LIGHT FOR THE NOSE GEAR. CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. LANDING GEAR CONTROL HANDLE P/N D494-08-001 WAS REPLACED WITH A GEAR SWING PERFORMED AFTER REPLACEMENT WITH NO DEFECTS BEING FOUND. (M)

ON DEPARTURE AFTER AIRBORN, AIRCRAFT YAWED TO THE LEFT. RUDDER TRIM WAS ENGAGED TO THE RIGHT FOR APPROX 2 SECONDS. THE AIRCRAFT THEN YAWED TO THE RIGHT AND RUDDER TRIM RAN TO THE FULL RIGHT AND COULD NOT BE COVERED TO THE NEUTRAL POSITION FOR APPROX 1 MIN. RESECURED RUDDER TRIM KNOB. NO OTHER DEFECTS NOTED. (M)
AVIONIC SMOKE ILLUMINATED, DID NOT GO OUT. RAN EMERGENCY CHECK LIST. REMOVED AND REPLACED AVIONICS SMOKE DETECTOR. (X)
REQUIRES FULL RIGHT RUDDER TRIM AT SLOW AIRSPEEDS, 3 UNITS AT CRUISE AT SLOW AIRSPEEDS, A/C REQ'S FULL RIGHT RUDDER TRIM TO CENTER THE BALL AT CRUISE SPEEDS. THE TRIM IND STILL SHOWS 3 UNITS RIGHT WHEN YAW DAMPER IS ENGAGED, YELLOW RUDDER FLAG IS ANNUNCIATED IN EHSI. INSPECTED RUDDER AND TAB, NO DEFECTS NOTED. REPLACED TRIM INDICATOR. (M)
LEFT TAIL PIPE 'HOT' LIGHT ON JUST AFTER TAKEOFF. FERRIEDTO MEMPHIS. SECURED A LOOSE TAILPIPE BLANKET AND REPLACED THE PERI-SEALSBEHIND THE LOW PRESSURE BLEED VALVE. GROUND RAN AT POWER FOR 20 MINUTES.AIRCRAFT OK FOR SERVICE. REFERENCE MI13663.(M)
