WHILE ON APPROACH INTO WAIMEA, I HAD THE AC CONFIGURED WITH APPROACH FLAPS AND GEAR. I THEN DECIDED TO PUT FULL FLAPS BECAUSE I WAS HIGH AND NEEDED TO LOSE ALTITUDE. SO WHEN I ADDED FULL FLAPS, THE GEAR WARNING HORN AND LIGHT CAME ON. I DECIDED TO RECYCLE THE FLAPS AND GEAR AGAIN WITH JUST APPROACH FLAPS. AFTER DOING IT AGAIN THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURED. I THEN DECIDED TO LAND WITH JUST APPROACH FLAPS BECAUSE THE WINDS WAS BLOWING 040@21 GUSTING 31 PLUS. ONCE I LANDED AND WAS BACK TAXIING TO THE AIRPORT ON THE RUNWAY, I DECIDED TO PUT THE FLAPS DOWN IN THE FULL POSITION AND THE GEAR HORN AND RED HANDLE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. I THEN RETRACTED THE FLAPS UP. REPLACED NLG DOWNLOCK SWITCH AND BOTH MLG DOWNLOCK SWITCHES DUE TO UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE ON THE GROUND. AFTER RH MLG DOWNLOCK SWITCH WAS REMOVED, IT WAS CONFIRMED TO BE FAULTY WHEN RINGING OUT WIRING
DURING MY RETURN FLIGHT HOME FROM HNL ON THE APPROACH SEGMENT OF THE FLIGHT I HAD PUT THE FINAL FLAPS DOWN FOR LANDING AND MY GEAR WARNING HORN CAME ON. MY GEAR WAS INDICATING THREE GREEN BUT THE HORN WOULD NOT STOP. I ELECTED TO GO AROUND AND TRY ANOTHER APPROACH. THE SAME THING HAPPENED SO I DECIDED TO RETURN TO HNL. DURING THE MISSED APPROACH FOLLOWING NORMAL PROCEDURES I APPLIED MAX POWER. AT 100 KNOTS I RETRACTED THE FLAPS TO ZERO AND PUT THE GEAR UP WHEN I HAD A POSITIVE RATE. THE GEAR HORN TURNED OFF WHEN I PUT THE FLAPS ALL THE WAY UP.
ON FINAL APPROACH INTO PHKO, GEAR WAS DOWN WITH THREE GREEN LIGHTS INDICATING AND NO RED LIGHT ON THE HANDLE. AS FLAPS WERE INITIATED, GEAR WARNING HORN AND RED UNSAFE LIGHT ON GEAR HANDLE WERE ACTIVATED. ADVISED TOWER OF THE GEAR UNSAFE CONDITION AND INITIATED A GO-AROUND. CYCLED THE GEAR AND FLAPS AND ALL UNSAFE INDICATION WENT AWAY. AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY IN PHKO
