AIRCRAFT DEPARTED. GOING THROUGH 2,000 FEET, CREW NOTICED MAIN BRAKE AND EMERGENCY BRAKE PRESSURE GAUGES READ AN OVERPRESSURE OF 3,000 PSI. ALSO BOTH BRAKE APPLIED PRESSURE GAUGES WERE READING 1,000 PSI. CREW PERFORMED QRH PROCEDURE. RETURNED TO DEPARTURE DUE TO CONCERNS THAT THE BRAKES MAY BE LOCKED. DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER EVENT. MAINTENANCE HAS VERIFIED THE HIGH PRESSURE READINGS WERE AN INDICATION ISSUE. MAINTENANCE IS STILL IN PROCESS OF TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM.

DURING DECENT, SELECTED GEAR DOWN. THE GEAR DOWN AND INTRANSIT INDICATIONS DID NOT ACTIVATE AT GEAR EXTENSION. REQUESTED A FLY-BY OF THE CONTROL TOWER TO VERIFY GEAR POSITION. THE TOWER REPORTED THE GEAR WAS DOWN. DURING PREPARATION TO LAND, DISCOVERED THE GEAR POSITION INDICATOR CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS TRIPPED. RESET THE CIRCUIT BREAKER. THE GEAR POSITION INDICATOR INDICATED ALL THREE GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED. NOTIFIED THE TOWER. LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER EVENT. DURING INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE FOUND A CHAFED WIRE ON RIGHT DOWN LOCK SWITCH. REPAIRED THE WIRE AND PERFORMED SATISFACTORY GEAR SWINGS.

ATA 5610

Flight 5165 from CLT to HTS, During climb-out pilots DV window seal came off. Aircraft returned to Charlotte with no other problem. No emergency was declared. Maintenance removed and replaced the seal. System checked good and aircraft was returned to service.

CLT-LYH - FLT 5205 - DURING CLIMB-OUT, THE AIRCREW REPORTED THAT THE LEFT ENGINE WAS MAKING 97 PERCENT RPM AND 88 PERCENT TORQUE. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO CLT WITH NO OTHER PROBLEMS. NO INFLIGHT EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED. MAINTENANCE GROUND RUN THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. BOTH ENGINES PRODUCED 100 PERCENT TORQUE. LEFT ENGINE RPM 100.5 PERCENT, RIGHT ENGINE 101 PERCENT RPM. LEFT ENGINE TEMP 630 DEGREES CELSIUS AND RIGHT ENGINE WAS 620 DEGREES CELSIUS, OAT WAS 25 DEGREES CELSIUS. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)

LEX - FLT 5214 - FLT FROM LEX TO CLT ON CLIMB-OUT, THE AIRCREW OBSERVED A SMELL AND SAID IT SMELLED LIKE PLASTIC BURNING. A FEW SECONDS LATER THE LEFT BLEED AIR LIGHT CAME ON AND WOULD NOT EXITNGUISH. SMOKE BEGAN TO FILL THE COCKPIT FROM THE CENTER CONSOLE. AIRCREW TURNED OFF THE LT FLOW PACK. SMELL AND SMOKE CLEARED THE COCKPIT. IN FLT EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES WERE USED. A/C RETURNED TO LEX WITH NO OTHER PROBLEMS. MX CREW WAS DEPLOYED FROM CLT TO LEX. MX FOUND THE TEMP CONTROL VALVE STUCK IN THE OPEN POSITION. LT BLEED AIR DEACTIVATED AND DEFERRED TOMSL NR 01998-03C. A/C RETURNED TO CLT FOR REPAIR. MX REMOVED AND REPLACED LT TEMP CONTROL VALVE. SYSTEM RUN AND OPS CHECKED GOOD.

FOOT BRAKES REQUIRE MAXIMUM PRESSURE (STANDING ON THEM TO GET 1500-1600 PSI ON BRAKE PRESSURE GAUGE). BRAKES WILL NOT HOLD AIRCRAFT AT TAKEOFF POWER AND REQUIRE EXCESSIVE PEDAL APPLICATION TO GET BRAKE PRESSURE. UPON INVESIAGATION, MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE LEFT BRAKE ASSEMBLY AND PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE IAW AMM 32-40-17. AIRCRAFT TAXI CHECK GOOD. NO FURTHER PROBLEMS.

FLIGHT 3260 - SBP/LAX - PILOT REPORTED AFTER TAKEOFF THE LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT. THE LANDING GEAR RETRACTED WHEN THE PILOT SELECTED OVERIDE. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE UPPER PISTON RINGS BROKEN CAUSING BINDING. MAINTENANCE REPLACED PISTON RINGS AND OUTER GLAND SEAL. A GEAR SWING WAS PERFORMED AND THE LEAK CHECK WAS GOOD. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
