ENGINE FAILED WHEN THROTTLE ROLLED TO IDLE DURING AUTOROTATION SPEED CHECK. PERFORMED AUTOROTATION LANDING. AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED WITH NO FUEL LEAKS. PERFORMED FUEL FLOW CHECKS WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. REPLACED ENGINE AND FUEL MANIFOLD. INSPECTED AND CLEANED FUEL NOZZLE AND INLINE FUEL FILTERS. NO DEFECTS NOTED. PERFORMED OPERATIONAL CHECK FLIGHT WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. AIRCRAFT IS IN SERVICE WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED.
LOUD HOWLING NOISE HEARD UP AND BEHIND MED CREW. ODOR OF BURNING PLASTIC PRESENT. REMOVED THE A/C COMPRESSOR AND INSTALLED SERVICEABLE A/C COMPRESSOR. SERVICED THE AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM. REPLACED AFT EVAPORATOR RELAY, A/C CONTROL RELAY, AND CONDENSOR COMPRESSOR RELAY. REPLACED 3 SPADE CONNECTORS AT THE RELAY CONNECTIONS DUE TO MELTED PLASTIC. WORK COMPLETED IAW EC-270M AND DRAWING EC-856. OPS CHECKED. COMPRESSOR CONTINUES TO CYCLE ON AND OFF REPETITIVELY. CYCLING WAS FOUND TO BE WITHIN LIMITS. ISSUE CLEARED.
DURING ROUTINE FOUND CORROSION ON THE FWD LE OF THE AFT LOWER TUB ASSEMBLY.
FOUND DURING INSP, AFT FUSELAGE UPPER LT LONGERON UNDER AFT UPPER LT TAILBOOM FITTING CRACKED APPROX 1.5" ORIGINATING FROM 2 FWD MOST RIVETS. APPROX FS 228.4, WL 73.7
