1.4 HOURS INTO A SIGHT SEEING FLIGHT, THE (FUEL FILTER) LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE CAUTION PANEL. THE PILOT MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. A MECHANIC WAS SENT TO THE HELICOPTER AND CHANGED THE FUEL CONTROL AND THE AIRFRAME FUEL FILTER. THE HELICOPTER WAS THEN RETURNING TO BASE WHEN THE (FUEL FILTER) LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN. THE PILOT LANDED AT THE HILO MAINTENANCE FACILITY. BOTH FUEL BOOST PUMPS, THE FULE FILTER AND BYPASS INDICATOR ASSEMBLY AND THE FUEL CONTROL UNIT WERE ALL CHANGED AT THIS TIME. THE FUEL FILTER BOWL HAD A FOREIGN SUSSTANCE INTHE BOTTOM OF THE BOWL. IT WAS NOT MAGNETIC. THE FUEL SAMPLE HAS BEEN SENT OUT FOR EVALUATION.

WHILE ON A SIGHTSEEING FLIGHT, PILOT EXPERIENCED A MAIN GEARBOX CHIP LIGHT INDICATION. THE PILOT MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING. UPON INSPECTION OF THE MAIN GEARBOX CHIP PLUGS BY MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL, NO METAL WAS FOUND. CLEANED MAGNETIC CHIP PLUGS AND CONNECTORS. OPERATIONAL CHECK AND LEAK CHECK FOUND TO BE SATISFACTORY.

DURING A TOUR FLIGHT WITH 6 PASSENGERS ON BOARD, THE PILOT NOTICED THE ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE JUMP FROM 90 DEGREES CELCIUS TO BEING PEGGED OUT AT 130 DEGREES CELCIUS. THE PILOT PERFORMED A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING IN A PASTURE IN HANA. WHEN THE MECHANIC ARRIVED 30 MINUTES LATER, THE ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE INDICATED A NORMAL 45 DEGREES CELCIUS. THE SPADE TERMINAL ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AT THE OIL TEMPERATURE PROBE WAS CHANGED DUE TO POSSIBLE LOOSENESS OF THE CRIMP CONNECTION OR BROKEN WIRE STRANDS AT THE TERMINAL.

DURING SIGHTSEEING FLIGHT, PILOT EXPERIENCED AN ENGINE CHIP WARNING ILLUMINATION AND MADE PRECAUTIONARY LANDING. UPON FURTHER EXAMINATION, MECHANIC DETERMINED THERE WAS SUFFICIENT METAL CONTENT ON MAGNETIC PLUG TO CEASE FURTHER FLIGHT UNTIL CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN. ENGINE ASSY REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH SERVICEABLE UNIT.
