Maintenance disclosures
DURING FLIGHT PILOT INDICATED ENGINE ROUGHNESS AND VIBRATION. MAINTENANCE REPLACED LEFT HAND IGNITION HARNESS AND R/H MUFFLER.
WHILE INSPECTING ACFT IAW 93-5 R1, CRACKS WERE NOTED. IN ORDER TO REMEDY THIS CONDITION IAW 93-5 R, MFG SUPPLIED SERVICE KIT SK207-19, WAS INSTALLED AS PERMANENT REPAIR.
ELEVATOR TRIM FAILED & WAS STUCK IN A SLIGHTLY NOSE HIGH ATTITUDE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED RIGHT AFTER TAKEOFF. PILOT RETURNED TO POINT OF DEPARTURE & LANDED WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. MX INSPECTED ELEVATOR TRIM SYS & DETERMINED THAT THE ELEVATOR TRIM CHAIN IN THE PEDESTAL HAD A DEFECTIVE MASTER LINK. REPLACED AFFECTED MASTER LINK & MADE AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE ELEVATOR TRIM DOWN BLOCK STOP. FLIGHT CHECK POST MX WAS SUCCESSFUL WITH NO ABNORMALITIES NOTED.
PILOT REPORTED EXHAUST SMELL IN CABIN. REPLACED THE MUFFLER, MUFFLER SHROUD & OPERATIONALLY CHECKED HEAT SYS ON GND WITH NO PROBLEMS.
PILOT REPORTED OIL ON WINDSCREEN, OIL LEAK. MX SECURED OIL CAP AND CLEANED ENGINE OF OIL RESIDUE.
FOUND LOWER UAT ANTENNA BAD DURING UAT UPGRADE. (K)
