LEFT EMERGENCY PRESS ON (CAS) MESSAGE. EMERGENCY PRESS SWITCH ON. CAS MESSAGE INITIALLY APPEARED AT FL 410 AND CLEARED UPON DESCEND THEN CAME BACK ON AT 8,000 FEET.
CRUISING AT 410 CABIN JUMPED TO 10,000 EMERGENCY PRESSURE AMBER CAS MESSAGE CAME ON AND CABIN WAS STILL CLIMBING. EMERGENCY DECENT PER QRH, DIVERTED INTO KJAX.
WHILE IN CRUISE FLIGHT AT 370, THE FLIGHT CREW HEARD TWO FLUTTERING VIBRATION SOUNDS. THE VIBRATION NOISES BECAME LOUDER AND LOUDER. ADJUSTING THE THROTTLE ISOLATED THE VIBRATION TO THE NR 1 ENGINE. THE PILOTS DESCENDED TO FL 250 AND SHUT DOWN THE NR 1 ENGINE. A SINGLE ENGINE APPROACH AND LANDING WAS MADE AT FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. THE MAINTENANCE DEPT TROUBLE SHOT AND DISCOVERED THAT THE NR 1 ENGINE STARTER GENERATOR HAD FAILED AND WAS THE SOURCE OF THE VIBRATION. THE STARTER GENERATOR WAS REPLACED AND OPERATIONALLY CHECKED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.
A SMALL HAIRLINE CRACK AT THE SWEDGED 90 DEGREE ELBOW WHERE IT ATTACHES TO THE FRONT FRAME OIL FITTING. OIL PRESSURE FLUCTUATION OCCURRED DURING 2ND LEG OF A SCHEDULED TRIP.
