Probable cause
THE FAILURE OF THE ENGINE CRANKSHAFT. FACTORS IN THE ACCIDENT WERE THE PILOT'S INADEQUATE COMPENSATION FOR THE WIND CONDITIONS AND NOT ATTAINING THE PROPER TOUCHDOWN POINT AT THE SUITABLE LANDING STRIP.
