Probable cause
IMPROPER PLANNING; THE STUDENT PILOT BECAME LOST AND RAN OUT OF FUEL. DURING THE LANDING HE MISJUDGED DISTANCE, ALTITUDE AND AIRSPEED AND OVERRAN THE FIELD COLLIDING WITH TREES.
