Maintenance disclosure history
Service Difficulty Reports are self-reported maintenance findings. The NUMBER of reports is not a measure of reliability — diligent operators file more, not fewer. These are shown for transparency, not as a negative signal. To verify a report, search its control number at the FAA SDRS site.
Reports span 1997–2009. Most-reported systems: Landing gear (32) — 2; Flight controls (27) — 1. Most-common natures of condition, as filed: OTHER — 2; WARNING INDICATION — 1.
3 reports on file.
Part: CONTROL VALVE — DEFECTIVE (LANDING GEAR) · airframe 6,091 hrs · 4,823 cycles
THE ACFT WAS ON A LOCAL TRAINING FLIGHT. AFTER TAKEOFF THE LANDING GEAR WAS VERY SLOW TO RETRACT. THE ACFT RETURNED TO BASE. MX INSPECTED THE ACFT AND FOUND NO VISIBLE DISCREPANCIES. THE ACFT WAS JACKED. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO RETRACT THE LANDING GEAR THE NOSE WOULD RETRACT, BUT THE MAINS WOULD NOT UNLOCK FROM THE DOWN POSITION. THE LANDING GEAR CONTROL VALVE WAS CHANGED AND AN OVERHAULED UNIT WAS INSTALLED. STILL NO CHANGE. AFTER MORE TROUBLESHOOTING THE LANDING GEAR CONTROL HANDLE WAS CHANGED. STILL NO CHANGE. AFTER MORE TROUBLESHOOTING ANOTHER LANDING GEAR CONTROL VALVE, ALSO FRESHLY OVERHAULED, WAS INSTALLED. THIS FIXED THE ISSUE. FIFTEEN GEAR SWINGS WERE PERFORMED BY MX, AND A TEST FLIGHT WITH FIVE GEAR SWINGS WAS ACCOMPLISHED SUCCESSFULLY.
Part: SWITCH — OUT OF RIG (LT MLG)
CREW EXTENDED LANDING GEAR ON APPROACH TO SUS. NO GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHT ON LT SIDE. LANDING GEAR WAS CYCLED WITH SAME RESULTS. CREW PERFORMED EMERGENCY EXTENSION PROCEDURES AND DID FLY-BY OF TOWER AT SUS. TOWER REPORTED GEAR APPEARED DOWN AND LOCKED. AIRCRAFT WAS LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. AS AIRCRAFT TAXIED TO RAMP, LT DOWNLOCK LIGHT ILLUMINATED. LT DOWNLOCK SWITCH WAS FOUND RIGGED FOR MINIMUM TRAVEL. RE-RIGGED SWITCH IAW THE SABRE 60 MM., CHAPTER 32-60-01. FUNCTIONALLY CHECKED OK.
Part: SUPPORT WEB — CRACKED (RUD TORQ TUBE)
WHILE VISUALLY INSPECTING THE RUDDER SUPPORT ASSY DURING A 150-HOUR INSPECTION, TWO CRACKS WERE FOUND ON THE RUDDER TORQUE TUBE LOWER SUPPORT WEB. THE CRACKS WERE DEVELOPED AS A RESULT OF PART STRESS DURING MANUFACTURE.
