Maintenance disclosure history
Service Difficulty Reports are self-reported maintenance findings. The NUMBER of reports is not a measure of reliability — diligent operators file more, not fewer. These are shown for transparency, not as a negative signal. To verify a report, search its control number at the FAA SDRS site.
Reports span 2002–2002. Most-reported systems: Landing gear (32) — 1. Most-common natures of condition, as filed: OTHER — 1.
1 report on file.
Part: BEARING — FAILED (MLG ACTUATOR)
POST FLIGHT INSPECTION FOUND BOTH PIVOT BEARINGS ON LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR ACTUATOR SHATTERED. UPON REMOVAL, BOTH BEARING OUTER RACES HAD BEEN BROKEN IN HALF AND BALLS FALLING DOWN TO WING SPAR. MISC PIECES ALSO LAYING ON SPAR, CONSIDERING THE FORCE REQUIRED TO SHATTER A BEARING RACE, THE ACTUATOR LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR WAS REPLACED. ACTUATOR SHOWS NO EXTERNAL SIGN OF DAMAGE EXCEPT THAT DOWN LOAD SPRING IS LOOSE FROM POSSIBLE OVER COMPRESSION. NO GEAR OR SHAFT BINDING, BUT REPLACED FOR SAFETY.
