PILOT PERFORMED PRE FLIGHT MAGNETO CHECK. THE LH MAG WAS INOPERATIVE. FURTHER INSPECTION BY MX PERSONNEL DISCOVERED THE LH MAGNETO DRIVE GEAR WAS MISSING 3 TEETH; MAKING THE MAGNETO NOT FUNCTIONAL.
