DURING CRUISE FLIGHT THE PILOT OBSERVED THE "ENGINE CHIP" CAUTION LIGHT ILLUMINATED. PIC LANDED SAFELY IN A NEARBY FOOTBALL FIELD. FOUND (1) SMALL METAL SLIVER ON THE ENGINE'S LOWER MAGNETIC PLUG.
