Maintenance disclosure history

Service Difficulty Reports are self-reported maintenance findings. The NUMBER of reports is not a measure of reliability — diligent operators file more, not fewer. These are shown for transparency, not as a negative signal. To verify a report, search its control number at the FAA SDRS site.

Reports span 2001–2001. Most-reported systems: ATA 85 — 2; Doors (52) — 1. Most-common natures of condition, as filed: OTHER — 3.

3 reports on file.

Part: CAMSHAFT — CHIPPED (ENGINE)

WHEN REMOVING NR 3 CYLINDER DUE TO LOW COMPRESSION, IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE LOBE ON THE CAMSHAFT FOR THE NR 3 INTAKE WAS CHIPPED. PEELING THE FACE OF THE INTAKE BODY WHICH RIDES ON THE LOBE REVEALED THAT IT ALSO WAS CHIPPED. BOTH OIL AND FILTER WERE CHANGED REGULARLY AT 50 HOURS. OBVIOUSLY ONE OF THE PARTS WAS OR BECAME CHIPPED AND CAUSED THE OTHER TO FAIL.

Part: HINGE — CRACKED (MLG INNER DOOR)

INSPECTED HINGES, ONLY FORWARD HINGES ON BOTH DOORS HAD CRACKS ON INNER RADIUS APPROX .1250 TO .1875 INCH DEEP. REAR HINGES WERE NOT CRACKED, REPLACED ALL FOUR HINGES. SUSPECT CRACKS ARE CAUSED DUE TO LOCATION OF HYD ACTUATOR FORWARD OF FORWARD HINGE, CAUSING MORE STRESS ON FORWARD HINGE THAN ON REAR HINGE.
