Maintenance disclosure history
Service Difficulty Reports are self-reported maintenance findings. The NUMBER of reports is not a measure of reliability — diligent operators file more, not fewer. These are shown for transparency, not as a negative signal. To verify a report, search its control number at the FAA SDRS site.
Reports span 2016–2016. Most-reported systems: Main rotor (62) — 1. Most-common natures of condition, as filed: VIBRATION/BUFFET — 1.
1 report on file.
Part: BEARING — FAILED (MAIN ROTOR HUB)
PIC REPORTED A MINOR VIBRATION DURING AN EARLY MORNING FLIGHT. AFTER A SECOND FLIGHT, PIC REPORTED THAT THE VIBRATION WAS MUCH WORSE. MAINTENANCE PERFORMED AN INSPECTION OF THE ROTOR HUB COMPONENTS AND FOUND THAT THE SHEARED BEARING HAD COMPLETELY FAILED WITH TOTAL SEPARATION AROUND THE CENTER AREA. IPB DIAGRAMS ARE ENCLOSED SHOWING SUBECT PART. PART HAS ONLY 498 HRS SINCE NEW, AND IS AN OEM INSTALLED COMPONENT. AIRCRAFT IS NOW GROUNDED.
