Pilot certificate lookup

Check a named pilot against the FAA's releasable airmen registry (“airman certificate” is the FAA's legal term, whoever holds it): certificates held, ratings, and medical dates, as the FAA publishes them each month.

This is verification, not vetting. The FAA lets pilots opt out of the public file, so absence here is not evidence that someone isn't certificated — and a listing says nothing about skill or safety. Same-name matches are common; confirm with the pilot's city and state. Not for employment screening.
