TWO MINUTES INTO AN INTER-FACILTY FLIGHT, AND AS THE PILOT AND CREW WERE APPROACHING AIRPORT WHEN THE LOW INLET PRESSURE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE PILOT OPENED THE BYPASS DOORS AND DIVERTED TO THE AIRPORT. UPON LANDING, THE PILOT INSPECTED THE INLET FILTER AND SAW WATER DRIPPING OFF THE FILTER AND INTO THE ENGINE INLET. THE INLET COVER HAD BEEN PLACED ON THE AIRCRAFT THE DAY BEFORE AFTER AN UN-FORECASTED RAIN SHOWER HAD COME THROUGH THE AREA, TEMPS HAVE BEEN BELOW FREEZING ALL DAY. WHEN THE FILTER AND INLET WERE INSPECTED THIS MORNING DURING PREFLIGHT NO ANOMALIES WERE NOTED. SUSPECTED FREEZING OF A WET FILTER IS WHAT CAUSED THE LOW INLET PRESSURE ANNUNCIATOR LIGHT.
AFTER TAKEOFF, PILOT NOTICED THAT THE TOP VEMD SCREEN HAD REVERTED BACK FROM THE STANDARD FLI IN FLIGHT SCREEN TO THE 3 PARAMETERS SCREEN & HAD A FLI FAILURE IN YELLOW ON THE INFO BLOCK. NO OTHER CAUTIONS & WARNINGS WERE NOTED OR PRESENT. PILOT ABORTED FLIGHT & RETURNED WITH NO OTHER PROBLEMS, ISSUES OR CAUTION & WARNINGS. LANDED SAFELY & ONLY WHEN TAKING THE ACFT FROM THE FLIGHT GATE SETTING BACK TO THE IDLE SETTING DID THE PILOT RECEIVE A FLASHING AMBER GOV LIGHT ON THE MASTER CAUTION WARNING PANEL. UPON INITIALIZING POWER TO THE ACFT AGAIN THE CAUTION & WARNING WAS NOT PRESENT. TROUBLE SHOT THE PROBLEM TO A DEFECTIVE T4.5 CONFIRMATION BOX. REPLACED & OPERATIONAL CHECKED GOOD.
AFTER TAKEOFF, THE PILOT NOTICED THAT THE TOP OF THE VEMD SCREEN HAD REVERTED BACK FROM THE STANDARD FLI IN FLIGHT SCREEN TO THE 3 PARAMETERS SCREEN & HAD A FLI FAILURE IN YELLOW ON THE INFORMATION BLOCK OF THE SCREEN. ABORTED FLIGHT & LANDED SAFELY & ONLY WHEN TAKING THE ACFT FROM THE FLIGHT GATE SETTING BACK TO THE IDLE SETTING DID THE PILOT RECEIVE A FLASHING AMBER GOV LIGHT ON THE MASTER CAUTION & WARNING PANEL. SHUTDOWN THE ACFT AS NORMAL & REPORTED TO MECHANIC. PERFORMED CLEANING ELEC CONNECTORS ON THE T4.5 MATCHING JUNCTION BOX IAW AMM. TROUBLESHOOTING MANUALS & VEMD FLM. ACFT REMAINS OOS AT THIS TIME, AWAITING AN INSULATION TESTER TO PERFORM ADDITIONAL TROUBLESHOOTING.

AXIAL COMPRESSOR (MO2), DAMAGE TO NR 1 TURBINE WHEEL DUE TO IGNITER CENTER ELECTRODE FAILURE (EJECTED THROUGH WHEEL). THIS IGNITER (9550168770 INSTALLED 7/11/01) AND SL 2171/02/ARRIEL 1-66 INDICATES THAT THIS IGNITER WOULD PREVNET FUTURE FAILURES OF THIS TYPE FROM HAPPENING. THIS SL DOES NOT REFERENCE BACK TO ARRIEL 2B, BUT EQUIPMENT IS OF THE SAME TYPE. REPLACED WITH RENTAL UNIT CORRECTED PROBLEM.
