MAINTENANCE VISUALLY INSPECTED AIRCRAFT FOR DISCREPANCY, NO DEFECTS NOTED THAT WOULD CAUSE A LATERAL VIBRATION, COMPLIED WITH A OPS CHECK FLIGHT AND NO LATERAL VIBRATION WAS PRESENT, VERY WINDY CONDITIONS. COMING TO A HOVER FOR TAKE OFF. N2 DROOPED TO 94 PERCENT AT 50 PERCENT TORQUE AND STAYED THERE FOR 15 SECONDS. ABLE TO RECOVER BY BEEPING. BEFORE HOVER, N2 WAS STABILIZED AT 100 PERCENT. MAINTENANCE REPLACED STARTER GENERATOR.
UPON COMING TO A HOVER. NR 2 DROPPED TO 92 PERCENT AND TOOK UP TO 15 SECONDS TO RECOVER AT HIGH TORQUE SETTING (ABOVE 80 PERCENT) N2, WOULD NOT DROOP AT LOW TORQUE SETTING. MAINTENANCE CHANGED GOVERNOR, LINER ACTUATOR, AND CHECKED NR2 RIGGING, CHECKED GOOD.
DURING START, NR 1 ENGINE DID NOT EXCEED 30 PERCENT, PILOT ABORTED THE START AND USED BATTERY CART TO START THE AIRCRAFT. NO POWER FROM BATTERY CART, APU CIRCUIT BREAKER POPPED, UPON RESET THE PILOT OBSERVED A SPARK FROM THE OVERHEAD CIRCUIT BREAKER PANEL. THE MECHANIC REMOVED AND REPLACED THE FUEL CONTROL, AIRCRAFT BATTERY AND REPAIRED THE AIRCRAFT APU WIRING. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

AFTER REMOVAL OF SHIMS IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH TB 206L-94-169. FORWARD RING WAS FOUND CRACKED UNDER SHIM AT LT LOWER ATTACH POINT. APPARENTLY, THIS IS A STRESS CRACK CAUSED BY WORKING RIVETS IN THE INTERCOSTAL ASSEMBLY.
