THE PILOT REPORTED THE UPPER PASSENGER DOOR OPENING IN FLIGHT. THE FLIGHT WAS THEN DIVERTED TO KHYA, WHERE MAINTENANCE INSPECTED AND FOUND THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE SPRING BROKEN. THE EXTERIOR HANDLE WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH NO FURTHER DEFECTS NOTED.
DURING MAINTENANCE A CRACK WAS IDENTIFIED ON THE INBOARD LEG OF THE RIGHT HAND OUTBOARD NACELLE FITTING, (P/N: 5292029-24) THIS CRACK MEASURES APPROXIMATELY .020 INCHES LONG AND WAS DISCOVERED USING THE LIGHTED BORESCOPE INSPECTION PROCEDURE AS OUTLINED IN TEXTRON MEL-54-02R2 TO SATISFY AD2017-10-09. THIS CRACK IS CONSISTENT WITH OTHERS THAT HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED USING THE SAME INSPECTION PROCEDURE. THIS FITTING WILL BE REPLACED USING NEW PARTS.

EDDY CURRENT PRESCRIBED IN SID 57-10-16 REVEALED MULTIPLE AREAS OF SUBSURFACE CORROSION IN LWR FWD SPAR CAP STRAP, PN 5292029-1, WHICH WERE NOT EVIDENT DURING DETAILED VISUAL INSPECTION. CORRECTIVE ACTION WILL BE TO REPLACE CORRODED PARTS WITH NEW. RESULT OF INSPECTION WILL ALSO BE REPORTED AS DIRECTED IN SID PROGRAM OUTLINED CHAPTER 5-13-01 OF AMM D2527-10-13.

CREW REPORTED, CLIMBING THROUGH 6300' MSL, LT ENGINE BEGAN TO SHUDDER AND RUN ROUGH, EGT WENT TO ZERO, AND OIL PRESSURE BEGAN DROPPING. SMOKE AND OIL STARTED COMING FROM TOP OF THE ENGINE COWL. CREW SECURED ENGINE AND RETURNED TO BLOCK. LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. MX INSPECTED LT ENGINE, FOUND NR 2 CONNECTING ROD ASSY HAD PENETRATED CASE BELOW LT MAGNETO. MX R & R LT ENGINE. R & R PROPELLER AND TURBOCHARGER FOR POSSIBLE OIL CONTAMINATION. ACFT RELEASED BACK TO SERVICE.
ON FINAL APPROACH, CREW NOTICED OIL LEAKING FROM LEFT ENGINE COWL. OIL PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE WERE INDICATING NORMAL. CREW SHUT DOWN LEFT ENGINE AS A PRECAUTION AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE FOUND SCAVENGE PUMP HOUSING FRACTURED AND LEAKING. TEAR DOWN REVEALED SCAVENGE PUMP DRIVEN GEAR FAILED, CAUSING THE HOUSING TO CRACK. MAINTENANCE REMOVED AND REPLACED STARTER ADAPER OIL FILER AND CHANGED OIL. AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. (M)
CREW TURNED ON HEATER PRIOR TO DEPARTURE FROM HYA. ON CLIMB-OUT, PILOT NOTICED FUNNY SMELL, TURNED OFF HEATER. PASSENGERS INFORMED CREW OF SMOKE IN CABIN. RETURNED TO HYA FOR UNEVENTFUL LANDING. MAINTENANCE FOUND HEATER FAN DROP RESISTOR BURNED. REMOVED AND REPLACED ASSY, HEATER FAN SYSTEM CHECKS OK. RELEASED AIRCRAFT BACK TO SERVICE. (X)
