ON FINAL LEG OF FLIGHT CREW REPORTED FAINT FUEL SMELL IN CABIN. MX DISASSEMBLED INTERIOR TO INSPECT FUEL CELLS AND NOTED MINOR FUEL SATURATION ON THE TOP OF THE LH AND RH LOWER FUEL CELLS
DURING SHIFT CHANGE CREW REPORTED HAVING SLIGHT FUEL SMELL IN AFT CABIN, PILOT DID NOT REPORT ANY FUEL ODOR IN COCKPIT.
DURING AIRFRAME A5450 INSPECTION, FOUND CRACKS IN STATION 4960 FRAME IN AFT BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT.
AIRCRAFT HAD A AMBER "#1 FIRE DET" ON EDU. AFTER TROUBLESHOOTING THE ISSUE FOUND THAT THE #1 FIRE DETECTOR IT SELF FAIL THE CHECKS PERSCRIBED VIA MAINTENANCE MANUAL. PROCEEDED TO CHANGE OUT #1 FIRE DETECTOR AS REQUIRED. WITH AN OPS CHECK THAT WAS GOOD.
IMPACT DAMAGE ON BOTH TAILROTOR BLADES LEADING EDGE APPROXIMATELY THREE INCHES FROM BLADE TIP.
ON FINAL APPROACH, LG WOULD NOT EXTEND & LOCK IN THE DOWN POSITION. THE THREE GREEN GEAR DOWN & LOCKED LIGHTS DID NOT ILLUMINATE. PILOT RETRACTED GEAR & RE-EXTENDED THE LG USING THE EMER HYD SYS. THE ACFT LANDED SAFELY. AFTER PERFORMING AN INITIAL INSPECTION, JACKING THE ACFT & PERFORMING A GEAR SWING, A HYD HOSE ATTACHED TO THE GEAR ACTUATOR WAS FOUND BROKEN INSIDE THE WEDGED PART OF THE HOSE. TIS OF HOSE & ACTUATOR ARE UNKNOWN.
DEPARTED THE BASE EN ROUTE TO PICK UP A PATIENT. ABOUT 5 MIN INTO THE FLIGHT STARTED TO SMELL A FAINT SMELL OF BURNT RUBBER, CONTINUED FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES & THE SMELL BECAME A STRONG SMELL OF BURNT RUBBER. OPENED THE SLIDING WINDOWS TO VENT THE COCKPIT & LANDED BACK AT BASE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. AFTER INSPECTING ACFT & APPLYING ELEC POWER, DETERMINED THE SMELL WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE LANDING LIGHT. THERE IS PROSEAL HOLDING THE PLASTIC WINDOW FOR THE LANDING LIGHT & THE LIGHT WAS SHINING ON THE PROSEAL, HEATING IT UP SIGNIFICANTLY & CAUSING A FOUL ODOR. THERE IS A GOOD DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY GETTING THE LIGHT BULB TO SHINE OUT THE CTR OF THE PLASTIC WINDOW. THE LIGHT REALIGNED, WE DID A ELEC POWER ON CHECK & A 10 MINUTE HOVER CHECK WITH THE LANDING LIGHT ON & THERE WERE NO FURTHER FOUL ODORS DETECTED.
