HEAVY CORROSION FOUND ON BOTTOM CABIN FLOOR FRAME DURING 12 YEAR INSPECTION ON BOTH ENDS OF THE LOWER PART OF THE FRAME THAT HELPS MOUNT THE LOWER FIXED BELLY PANEL.
DURING CLIMBOUT FROM LZ, FUEL FILTER LIGHT ILLUMINATED. REDUCED POWER PER RFM, LIGHT WENT OUT. LANDED AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE PER RFM. THE MECHANIC ARRIVED TO TROUBLESHOOT, AND DETERMINED THAT THE FUEL ON BOARD WAS THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM. THE FUEL WAS DRAINED, AND REPLACED. NO ADDITIONAL DEFECTS OR LEAKS.
DURING ENGINE STARTING CHECKS, ENGINE FIRE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. SHUTDOWN ACFT, NO SIGN OF FIRE IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT. ENGINE FIRE LIGHT REMAINED ILUMMINATED. INSPECTED AND CLEANED THE ACCESSIBLE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IN THE FIRE DECTECTION SYSTEM. AFTER CLEANING, RECONNECTED THE CONNECTOR PLUG TO ENGINE DECK. FIRE LIGHT EXTINGUISHED. PERFORMED A FIFTEEN MINUTE GROUND RUN AND FUNCTION TEST OF THE FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED.
ARRIVED AT HELICOPTER, THE FUEL QUANTITY INDICATION WENT FROM 50 PERCENT TO 0 PERCENT. AN UNUSUAL ODOR FOLLOWED DURING FLIGHT. TROUBLESHOT SYS, FOUND WITH A/C ELECTRIC POWER ON, AND BOOST PUMPS ON. FLUCTUATING FUEL INDICATION, LOW FUEL PRESSURE, AND INOP FUEL PRESSURE LIGHT. FOUND COMMON GROUND WIRE TERMINAL END FOR THE INDICATION, THE FUEL PRESSURE AND THE PRESSURE SWITCH, "BROKEN". RECONNECTED GROUND USING A NEW TERMINAL END IAW AEC SPM, OPS-CHECKED SYSTEM, ALL INDICATIONS NORMAL, NO EVIDENCE OF ODOR IN CABIN. ACFT RELEASED FOR FLIGHT.
