CREW OBSERVED FWD CARGO FIRE WARNING ACTIVATE. CAUSE OF PROBLEM IS UNDETERMINED. SEVERAL ITEMS WERE ACCOMPLISHED TO FIX PROBLEM INCLUDING CH1924 ADRRESSING THE OUTGASSING OF CERTAIN PRODUCE ITEMS THAT ACCORDING TO THE EXPERTS MAY TRIGGER THE FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM. AS PRECAUTION FORWARD CARGO FIRE DETECTION CARD A31 WAS REPLACED.
AFTER T/O GEAR DOOR OPEN LIGHT INDICATION. CREW FELT VIBRATION FROM OPEN DOORS. PROBABLE CAUSE IS A DOOR OUT OF SEQUENCE CONDITION DUE TO ALTERNATE EXTEND MOTOR NOT RESETTING. THIS IS KNOWN CONDITION AND IS SOMETIMES CAUSED BY DEPRESSING ALTERNATE EXTEND SWITCH FOR A PERIOD LESS THAN 90 SECONDS. WHEN ACTUATED SWITCH MUST BE ENERGIZED FOR AT LEAST 90 SECONDS TO ENSURE THAT MOTOR WILL RESET. PREVIOUS INCIDENTS WERE KNOWN TO OCCUR WHEN MAINTENANCE CREWS USED SWITCH FOR WHEEL WELL ACCESS AND DID NOT RUN FOR THE REQUIRED 90 SECONDS. BOEING ISSUED SERVICE TIP 32-007 ADDRESSING THIS, AND IT HAS BEEN INCORPORATED INTO APPLICABLE SECTIONS OF THE AMM.

APU FIRE HANDLE LIGHT ON INTERMITTENLY, ALSO EICAS MESSAGE BUT NO FIRE WARNING AURAL CREW DIVERTING. *S/D* INVESTIGATION INDICATES THAT THE INTERMITTENT FLICKERING OF THE APU FIRE HANDLE, ALSO KNOWN AS FIRE EXTINGUISHING SWITCH ASSEMBLY, APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY SOME METAL SHAVINGS DROPPED INTO THE WIRE INTEGRATION UNIT (WIU). THE CULPRIT WAS APPARENTLY CONTACTING THE WIU POSTS ON AND OFF CAUSING THE LIGHTS TO FLICKER. SINCE THE AREA HAD BEEN CLEANED UP, HOWEVER THE AIRPLANE HAS BEEN FLYING WITHOUT DISPLAYING THAT ANOMALY.

DAMAGE WAS IDENTIFIED BY SPLIT INSULATION AND MELTED SPACERS. ALL SPLICES (6 TOTAL) WERE REPLACED AND REPLACED INSULATION AT OAK. OPERATION CHECKS NORMAL.
