TRANSMISSION TORQUE PLATES FOUND CRACKED DURING EDDIE CURRENT INSPECTION.
WHILE COMPLETING FURTHER INSPECTIONS IT WAS NOTED THAT AT STA 4010 WL 1020 A LT ANGLE WAS CRACKED INSIDE THE INSPECTION ACCESS HOLE.
WHILE PERFORMING AN AMC AIRWORTHINESS CHECK, A CRACK WAS DISCOVERED ON THE LT SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE AT STA 5741 FROM WL 1303.6 THRU 1153.6. PER APPROVAL OF PSEAW119-2016-55713-183344 AND AN AMC SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT, AIRCRAFT WAS REPOSITIONED TO MAINTENANCE FACILITY FOR SHEET METAL REPAIRS ON A SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT.
AT APPROX 2000 LOCAL TIME, DURING CRUISE FLIGHT, CREW COMPLAINED OF AN ELEC BURNING SMELL. PILOT NOTICED IT SOON AFTERWARD. SHUT OFF A/C, SMELL REMAINED BUT FADED SLIGHTLY. TURNED A/C BACK ON & SMELL GOT MUCH STRONGER. TURNED OFF A/C, OPENED ALL VENTS, MONITORED VOLTAGE & AMPS, LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. TROUBLESHOOTING DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS DEBRIS, DIRT & GRASS COMPACTION, IN INLET SCREEN OF THE ALTERNATE AIR DOOR FOR THE AIRCOM FWD BLOWER MOTOR ASSEMBLY. AFTER CLEANING SCREEN FROM DEBRIS, PERFORMED AN OPERATIONAL GND RUN FOR 15 MIN WITH A/C ON HIGH SETTING. NO FURTHER DISCREPANCIES WERE NOTED.
THE PILOT REPORTED THAT THE SAS NR1 , NR1 INVERTER AND THE NR2 ECU FAILED DURING FLIGHT. THE PILOT MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING AT AIRPORT WITH OUT INCIDENT. AFTER TROUBLESHOOTING THE DISCREPANCY THE MECHANIC FOUND THAT THE EMERGENCY BUS CIRCUIT BREAKER SHORTED OUT WHICH SHORTED OUT THE HSI INDICATOR AND THE K8601 RELAY AFTER REPLACING COMPONENTS OPS CHECK WAS GOOD.
AFTER DROPPING A PATIENT OFF AT AIRPORT, ACFT DEPARTED THE AIRPORT AND WAS ON INITIAL CLIMB OUT WHEN THE PILOT REPORTED A " FIRE DETECT" LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE CAP PANEL, AT THIS POINT THE THE PILOT RETURNED TO THE AIRPORT AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. WHEN THE MECHANIC ARRIVED AND INSPECTED THE ACFT HE FOUND THAT THE FIRE DETECT LOOP HAD BROKEN UNDER ONE OF THE CLAPS THAT HOLDS IT TO THE DECK. AFTER REPLACING THE FIRE DETECT LOOP AN OPS CHECK WAS PERFORMED WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED.
