PILOT REPORTED MGB CHIP LIGHT ON LANDING AT BASE. CHIP PLUG AND FILTER INSPECTED, CLASS A BLACK FUZZ FOUND ON PLUG. IAW AMC EO 23-6300-EO-669 AND AD 2014-05-01 INSPECTION OF DRIVE GEAR PINION AND BEVEL GEAR TEETH REQUIRED AS THERE HAD BEEN 2 CHIP LIGHTS WITHIN THE PAST 100 HOURS FLIGHT TIME. INSPECTION OF GEAR TEETH SHOWED MICRO PITTING AND PITTING IN EXCESS OF ALLOWABLE LIMITS (NONE ALLOWED). ACFT TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE FOR TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT.
NUMBER 2 ENG CHIP LIGHT IN FLIGHT WOULD NOT EXTINGUISH WITH FUZZ BURNER. CAUTION LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. EXAMINED CHIP DETECTOR & FOUND METAL FLAKES ATTACHED TO CHIP DETECTOR. SAMPLE OF CHIPS SENT IN FOR ANALYSIS.
ON DAILY INSPECTION DISCOVERED MISSING FASTENER IN FIREWALL BETWEEN ENGINES DISASSEMBLED FIREWALL AND FOUND FASTENER HAD PULLED THROUGH CRACKED AREA OF FIREWALL, PN L716M2162802. REPAIRED FIREWALL BY STOP DRILLING CRACKS, CUTTING AWAY CRACKED AREA AND ATTACHING LOCALLY FABRICATED PATCH OF .020" TITANIUM SHEET WITH MS20615-3M3 RIVETS. ALL WORK IAW AEC EC135 AMM AND AC 43.13-1B CHAPTER 4, SECTION 4 FIREWALL AND COWLINGS REASSEMBLED
LEFT AFT ARIS MOUNT EMERGENCY STOP HAS CRACK APPROX 150 DEGREES OF CIRCUMFERENCE APPROX .5" BELOW TOP SURFACE.
DURING RUNUP, AIR CONDITIONER STARTED MAKING A VERY LOUD BUZZING NOISE WITH BITS OF PLASTIC AND DEBRIS COMING OUT OF THE VENT. THIS WAS ALSO ACCOMPANIED BY A SLIGHT BURNING ODOR AND THE AIR CONDITIONER EVENTUALLY QUIT BLOWING COLD. INSPECTION OF SYS FOUND THAT THE RT FWD EVAPORATOR FAN HAD DISINTEGRATED. BURNING SMELL AND PLASTIC DEBRIS WAS FROM THE EVAPORATOR HOUSING BEING RUBBED BY THE FAN. LOSS OF COLD AIR WAS DUE TO THE FAN NOT MOVING AIR PAST THE EVAPORATOR. FAN WAS REPLACED AND SYSTEM OPS CHECKED OK.
AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR STARTED TO MAKE A LOUD NOISE WITH THE SMELL OF RUBBER IN THE COCKPIT, WHILE ON LANDING. TUNED THE AIR CONDITIONER OFF, THE SMELL AND NOISE STOPPED. AFTER LANDING, CALLED MAINTENANCE, FILLED OUT THE MEL DEFERRAL, AND PUT THE AIRCRAFT BACK IN SERVICE. DURING THE MAINTENANCE INSPECTION, THE EARLIER LOUD NOISE AND SMELL COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED.
