FLIGHT CREW NOTICED VIBRATION DURING CRUISE FOLLOWED BY NR 2 GENERATOR AND LOW OIL PRESSURE ANNUNCIATORS. CREW SECURED NR 2 ENGINE AND DIVERTED.. LANDING WAS UNEVENTFUL. UPON INSPECTION IT WAS FOUND THE NR 2 ENGINE STARTER/GENERATOR HAD FAILED INTERNALLY SETTING UP A VIBRATION THAT CAUSED THE OIL FILTER HOUSING TO FAIL AND A SUBSEQUENT LOSS OF OIL.THE NR 2 ENGINE HAS BEEN REMOVED AND SENT FOR INSPECTION DUE TO VIBRATION AND LOSS OF OIL.
DURING AN A, B, AND C INSPECTION, FOUND THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER MOUNTING FACES NOT PARALLEL WITH THE VERTICAL STABILIZER, HORIZONTAL STABILIZER ROLLER CLEARANCE CHECKS IAW MM 27-40-00 OUT OF SERVICE LIMITS. INSPECTED STABILIZER IAW MFG COMMUNIQUÃ NR 70 AND FOUND RT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER RIB, PN 45A21104012, CRACKED. REPLACED RIB AND REINSTALLED STABILIZER, HORIZONTAL STABILIZER ROLLER CLEARANCE CHECKS NOW WITHIN SERVICE LIMITS. IAW COMMUNIQUÃ NR 70, ROLLER GAP DIMENSIONS OUT OF SERVICE LIMITS MAY BE CONTRIBUTING TO PROBLEM. AFFECTED STRUCTURE HAS NOT YET BEEN INCLUDED IN SCHEDULED INSPECTIONS GUIDE. (K)
