ELECTRICAL FIRE SMELL FROM THE LOWER CENTER CABIN. AFTER THROTTLE MOVED FROM IDLE TO FLY. TROUBLE SHOT SYSTEM. DURING NEXT RUN UP THEY NOTICED THE SUPER NIGHT SCANNER WAS FLICKERING. PULLED PANEL AND FOUND BURNT SPOT ON THE SUPER NIGHT SCANNER GRAY RELAY BOX. REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH KNOWN SERVICEABLE PART. NO OTHER ISSUES.
CRACK DAMAGE WAS NOTED ON THE 22 DEGREE BULKHEAD WEB P/N 350A21-4002 UNDER THE RH FLOOR AT STA 845, RBL 673.3 WL 2806.2.
AROUND FOUR MINUTES INTO A FLIGHT, THE CREW NOTICED AND SMELLED A STRONG ODOR. OBSERVED A HAZE IN THE ACFT. THE CREW NOTIFIED THE PILOT AND HE IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO BASE.
ON SHORT FINAL TO LANDING PAD, PILOT HEARD A LOUD POP. DURING POST FLIGHT INSPECTION, PILOT FOUND A 12 INCH CRACK IN THE LT WINDSCREEN. THE CRACK STARTS AT THE INSIDE EDGE AND EXTENDS HORIZONTALLY 12 INCHES TO THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF THE WINDSCREEN. THE CRACK IS JUST ABOUT PARALLEL WITH THE TOP OF THE GLARE SHIELD
DURING 600HR INSPECTION, THREE CRACKS FOUND AROUND TAIL BOOM BATTERY DOOR OPENING. TWO ON THE STRINGER RUNNING FORE & AFT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR OPENING & THE LARGEST OF THE THREE ON THE UPPER AFT CORNER OF THE DOOR ON THE PRIMARY SKIN OF THE TAIL BOOM.
UPON REMOVAL OF MGB FOR REPLACEMENT, CROSSBEAM MEMBER WAS FOUND TO BE CRACKED AT TRANSMISSION TO CROSSBEAM FITTING HOLE.
DURING REMOVAL OF HORIZONTAL STABILIZER FOR COMPLETION OF EASB 05A017 IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE UPPER RT STABILIZER ATTACHMENT FITTING WAS CRACKED.
DURING PREFLIGHT INSPECTION, CREW FOUND A CRACK IN THE RT WINDSCREEN PROTRUDING FROM THE UPPER RT CORNER EXTENDING TOWARDS THE CTR OF THE WINDSCREEN. THE CRACK WAS APPROXIMATELY 8.5 INCHES LONG. IT IS BELIEVED THAT THE CRACK DEVELOPED AFTER THE PREVIOUS NIGHTâS FLIGHT IN 9 DEGREE F WEATHER & THEN THE ACFT WAS PUT IN A HEATED HANGAR.
WITHIN A COUPLE OF MINUTES OF DEPARTING BASE, RECEIVED AN INDICATION OF FLI FAIL ON THE VEMD. RETURNED TO BASE WITHOUT INCIDENT. MECHANIC FOUND A FAULTY T4 HARNESS.
