DURING TAXI IN AT THE GATE, THE BRAKES DID NOT RESPOND. USED ENGINE THRUST REVERSE TO STOP AIRCRAFT SAFELY AT THE GATE. THE BRAKES GRABBED AS THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP. MAINTENANCE REPLACED THE BRAKE STEERING CONTROL UNIT. OPERATIONAL CHECK OK.
