CREW SMELLED BURNING ELECTRICAL OR BURNING RUBBER COMING OUT OF THE AIR CONDITION VENTS IN THE AFT PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. BURNING SMELL DISSIPATED WHEN AIR CONDITIONING TURNED OFF. BURNING SMELL POSSIBLY COMING FROM THE AFT BLOWER MOTOR. BURNING SMELL IN CP. AFT BLOWER MOTOR REMOVED , CLEANED, INSPECTED REINSTALLED. CND. PERFORMED 10 MINUTE GROUND RUN UP. NO DEFECTES NOTED
MOISTURE IN TRANSMISSION OIL PRESSURE CONNECTOR PLUG SET OFF A FALSE TRANSMISSION OIL PRESSURE LOW WARNING LIGHT.
WHILE ENROUTE BACK TO BASE FROM SAN ANTONIO, ABOUT FIVE MILES EAST OF HONDO, TEXAS; MEDICAL CREW REPORTED THE SMELL OF "BURNING PLASTIC" IN THE AFT CABIN. THE SMELL WENT AWAY AND THEN CAME BACK. I NEVER SMELLED ANYTHING IN THE COCKPIT. I ELECTED TO MAKE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING AT THE HONDO, TEXAS AIRPORT AND CALLED MAINTENANCE. REAR A/C BLOWER WAS FOUND TO BE THE PROBLEM.
THE ENGINE CHIP CAUTION LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER APPROXIMATELY 20 SECONDS AFTER THE ENGINE WAS STARTED. SHUTDOWN THE ENGINE. COMPLETED AN INSPECTION IAW MAINTENANCE MANUAL AND DETERMINED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
