AIRSPEED INDICATOR FAILED IN FLIGHT, REMOVED DASH AND FOUND 1 DISCONNECTED PITOT LINE FROM THE AIRSPEED INDICATOR, R & R PRESSURE PITOT LINE P DHS212-720.20. PREFORMED CHECK OF THE PITOT LINE & AIRSPEED WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED IAW AMM 34-14-00,5-1. AIRSPEED INDICATOR TEST, OPS CHECKED GOOD AT THIS TIME.
WHILE TRANSITIONING INTO FORWARD FLIGHT AFTER LIFTOFF, THE ENTIRE CAUTION WARNING PANEL BEGAN FLICKERING ON AND OFF AT A VERY FAST RATE. AFTER GAINING AIRSPEED, THE FLICKERING STOPPED. GONGS WERE HEARD THROUGH THE HEADSET WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE PANEL. ALL VEMD PARAMETERS WERE NORMAL AND NOTHING INDICATED AN IMMEDIATE PROBLEM. WE DIVERTED TO THE IDAHO FALLS AIRPORT 3 MILES AWAY. THE FLICKERING PANEL OCCURRED MAYBE ONCE OR TWICE MORE BEFORE LANDING.
THERE ARE TWO CHAFING MARKS ON THE R/H SIDE OF TRANSMISSION DECK JUST AFT OF THE MAIN ROTOR GEAR BOX. THE DEEPEST DEPTH IS 0.010" WITH A LENGTH OF 0.35" AND WIDTH OF 0.005"
6 MINUTES AFTER TAKEOFF, RECEIVED A GENERATOR LIGHT. AFTER TRYING TO RESET, THE GENERATOR LIGHT WOULD NOT EXTINGUISH, MADE THE DECISION TO RETURN TO BASE. TROUBLESHOT ON THE GROUND. THE GENERATOR WAS REPLACED TWO DAYS EARLIER DUE TO THE SAME ISSUE BUT HAD NO ISSUES AFTER OPS CHECK BEING NORMAL. DURING TROUBLESHOOTING ,THE GENERATOR CAME BACK ON LINE. ELECTRICAL LOAD WAS CHANGED TO VARIOUS LEVELS UP TO MAXIMUM OUTPUT. NO FURTHER FAILURES WERE OBSERVED.
ENROUTE, THE GENERATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED. DIMMING OF COCKPIT INSTRUMENTATION, AND YELLOW HIGHLIGHTED VOLTAGE INDICATOR. ATTEMPTED TO RESET THE GENERATOR ONCE, WHICH FAULTED AGAIN. RESET THE GENERATOR A SECOND TIME, WHICH SUCCESSFULLY BROUGHT THE GENERATOR BACK ONLINE. THE GENERATOR HAD FAILED SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE, ONLY TO BE RESET WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE GENERATOR TRIPPED FOR A THIRD TIME.
