CREW REPORTED FUEL SMELL IN THE CABIN, FOUND SEEPING O-RING AT AUX TANK BLANKING PLATE.
ROUGHLY 5 MINUTES AFTER DEPARTURE, PILOT OBSERVED A ENG HOT OIL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATION. HE CHECKED THE OIL TEMP GAUGE AND CONFIRMED AN ENGINE OIL TEMP EXCEEDANCE. HE ANNOUNCED THE WARNING LIGHT AND REDUCED POWER AND AIRSPEED. HE PERFORMED A PRE-LANDING GAUGE CHECK AND ALL INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL EXCEPT FOR THE ENGINE OIL TEMP WHICH WAS INDICATING 116 DEGREES CELSIUS. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE THERMOSTATIC OIL COOLER BYPASS VALVE WAS BAD AND IT WAS REPLACED AND ALL INDICATIONS RETURNED TO NORMAL. THIS IS THE THIRD ONE OF THESE TO FAIL AFTER 14823 AND 14934.
FOUND CRACKED RT TRANSMISSION FITTING, 75MM LONG .
FOUND 2 EACH CRACKS AT STA 2049.5, BL 480 LT AND BL 480 RT. RETAINER AND 2 EACH CRACKS AT FASTENER STA 2049.5 LEFT/RIGHT WL 1150.0.
NOTICED SKIN CRACK IN LT SIDE OF AFT ENG COWL. FOUND TOTAL OF 5 CRACKS IN COWL SKIN & STRINGER CHANNELS.
RIGHT SLIDING DOOR FRAME WHERE DOOR LATCHES TO AIRFRAME IS CRACKED & NOT SUPPORTING LATCHING STRUCTURE. THREADED INSERT LOOSE IN SECTION OF CRACKED AREA.
