PILOT WAS HOVERING, WHEN SUDDENLY THE RPM STARTED TO OVERSPEED. RPM CONTROL WAS MINIMIZED WITH THROTTLE INPUT UNTIL AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING WAS AFFECTED IN A NEARBY BALLFIELD. REPLACED GOVERNOR WITH A SERVICEABLE UNIT AND RECTIFIED THE PROBLEM.
