Maintenance disclosures
PRIOR TO DEPARTURE FROM DEN, THE PILOT REPORTED THAT THE LT PNEUMATIC PUMP WAS INOPERATIVE. MX REPLACED THE PNEUMATIC PUMP & THE ACFT DEPARTED, CRUISING AT FL200. THE PILOT NOTED A DECREASE IN POWER & DECREASING OIL PRESS. THE PILOT SHUT DOWN & SECURED THE ENG AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE & DIVERTED TO APA. MX FOUND THE ENG HAD LOST A SIGNIFICANT QTY OF OIL. CLEANED & RAN THE ENG & FOUND THE OIL WAS LEAKING FROM THE PNEUMATIC PUMP MOUNTING PAD. REMOVED THE PUMP FOR INSPECTION, REPLACED THE GASKET & REINSTALLED THE PUMP. GND RUNS WERE SATISFACTORY & NO ADDITIONAL LEAKS WERE FOUND.
PILOT REPORTED THAT WHEN CONFIGURING THE ACFT FOR CRUISE FLIGHT THE LT ENGINE MANIFOLD PRESSURE DECREASED. PILOT NOTED THAT THE OIL PRESSURE WAS DECLINING AND SHUTDOWN THE ENGINE AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE. OPEN
AFTER TAKEOFF, REPORTED SMOKE IN CABIN AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. FLIGHT DIVERTED. MX DISABLED HEATER AFTER CONFIRMATION OF FAILURE. HEATER WOULD NOT CYCLE OFF HOT. DUCTS AND DEBRIS WERE OVERHEATED. NO BURNED OR EVIDENCE OF CHARRED AREAS.
ACFT WAS INBOUND AT CRUISE. E2 ALTERNATOR WAS FLICKERING ON OFF LINE MULTIPLE TIMES AND FAILED. E1 ALTERNATOR FAILED AFTER E2. PILOT LOST ELECTRICAL POWER AND LANDED.
ALL FOUR AILERON PRIMARY CONTROL CABLES FOUND WORN, SEVERING SEVERAL STRANDS AT WING STATION 50.021 WHERE IS PASSES IN FRONT OF THE OUTBOARD FLAP BELLCRANK. ONE CABLE HAD 3 OF THE 7 STRANDS SEVERED. CABLES WERE COVERED WITH GREASE AND GRIME MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO INSPECT CABLE. CLEARANCE IS MINIMAL AT THIS POINT AND THE CABLES HAVE LIMITED SUPPORT TO PREVENT SLAPPING AGAINST BELLCRANK.
