AIR TURN BACK DUE TO #1 ENGINE EXCEEDANCE CAS MESSAGE. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AT KFLL. REMOVED AND REPLACED #1 ENGINE IAW AMM 71-00-01.
WITH APU RUNNING: AFTER EACH ENGINE START AND STABILIZATION, STRONG FUEL SMELL OCCURS. ONCE ECS STARTS, SMELL DISAPPEARS. SMELL RETURNS AFTER LANDING WHEN THE ENGINES ARE SELECTED TO STOP WITH APU RUNNING. SMELL OCCURS ONLY IN COCKPIT. REMOVED AND REPLACED APU FUEL CONTROL UNIT WITH A OVERHAULED UNIT IAW LMM 49-30-20. PERFORMED 2 NORMAL STARTS OF APU AND ENGINES, NO SMELL NOTED. WAITED ONE HOUR PERFORMED A NORMAL APU START, NO SMELL. PERFORMED LEAK CHECK OF APU FUEL CONTROL UNIT, NO LEAKS NOTED. PN 3883964-3 SN 39838.
DURING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, DISCOVERED EMERGENCY LIGHT NOT ARMED AMBER CAS MESSAGE ILLUMINATED WHEN EMERGENCY LIGHT SWITCH IN ARMED POSITION OR ANY OTHER POSITION. REMOVED AND REPLACED THE FORWARD AND AFT EMERGENCY LIGHT BATTERIES. PERFORMED SATISFACTORY SYSTEM OPERATIONAL TEST. WORK PERFORMED IAW AMM 33-51-01.
ON PREFLIGHT, FOUND (R) NOSE GEAR DOOR AJAR. FOUND NOSE GEAR (DOORS) UPLOCK BRACKET BROKEN. REMOVED FAILED NLG DOOR SUPPORT BRACKET P/N 550-06610-401 NSN AND INSTALLED NEW NLG DOOR SUPPORT BRACKET P/N 550-06610-401 NSN IIAW SRM 5173-03. NOSE LANDING GEAR DOOR OPERATION IS NOW NORMAL.
PACK FAIL AMBER MSG. WITH A PUFF OF SMOKE. R&R AIR CONDITION CONTROLLER, TEMP SENSOR, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL UNIT. OPS AND LEAK CHECKS GOOD.
ENGINE ROLLS BACK 10 PERCENT AND THE GREEN IGN. LIGHT ILLUMINATES WHEN THE POWER LEVER IS ADVANCED INTO MCT. LT ENGINE ROLLS BACK 10 PERCENT N1 IN MCT OR MCR. THE AUTO IGN ALSO INDICATED DURING ROLL BACKS W/AIRCRAFT YAW TO THE LEFT. ALL INDICATIONS NORMAL AT OTHER POWER SETTINGS. MX FOUND THE N1 MONOPOLE SHIMMED AT .038. SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHIMMED .012 TO .015. MONOPOLE RESHIMMED TO PROPER DIMENSION AND ENGINE PERFORMANCE RUN MADE SATISFACTORILY. COULD NOT FIND IN RECORDS WHERE N1 MONOPOLE HAD BEEN RECENTLY DISTURBED. N2 MONOPOLE HAD BEEN REPLACED ONE WEEK PREVIOUS WITH SATISFACTORY FLIGHTS MADE BETWEEN INCIDENTS.
ENGINE AMBER COMPUTER FAULT LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON T/O ROLL BELOW 80 KNOTS. T/O WAS ABORTED AND THE ENG COMPUTER SWITCH WAS CYCLED TWICE BUT, THE FAULT WOULD NOT CLEAR. PRELIMINARY T/S POINTS TO FAILED N2 TRANSDUCER.
