LEFT BREAK FAILED DURING TAXING. PERFORMED FUNCTIONAL TESTING MANUAL BRAKE SYSTEM AND POWER BRAKE SYSTEM IAW 400A AMM 32-40-00. PERFORMED POWER BRAKE BLEEDING IAW 400A AMM 32-40-00. NO DEFECTS NOTED. GAUGE ID# TL-00509, DUE 10/22/2025, GAUGE ID# TL-00503, DUE 04/09/2025.
O2 NEEDS SERVICE FOR POSSIBLE LEAK. READS 0 ON GAUGE. REMOVED AND REPLACED O2 BOTTLE REF B400 AMM CH 35-11-00. OPS AND LEAK CHECK PASSED AT THIS TIME. NO DEFECTS NOTED. EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED.
LOSS OF BRAKE PRESSURE ON ALL BRAKE PEDALS AFTER LANDING. BRAKE PRESSURE DID COME BACK AFTER ABOUT 1O SECONDS. HYDRAULIC PRESSURE WAS IN THE GREEN.
AFTER A NORMAL LANDING W/NORMAL BRAKING ENTERED THE FBO RAMP LT TURN WHERE LT RUDDER PEDAL AND BRAKING ALONG W/DIFFERENTIAL POWER WAS REQUIRED. LT RUDDER PEDAL BLED TO THE FLOOR WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED THIS OCCURRED ONLY ON CAPTAINS SIDE. PERFORMED VISUAL BRAKE COMPONENTS FOR LEAKS, NONE NOTED. VERIFIED PRESENCE OF PRESSURE AT BOTH BRAKES. PERFORMED FUNCTIONAL TEST OF MIXING VALVES/TAXI STRAIGHT AND HARD TURN WITH NO DEFECTS NORMAL BRAKING NOTED FROM PILOT AND COPILOT PEDALS. PERFORMED BRAKE LT/RT BLEEDING TO REMOVE POSSIBLE TRAPPED AIR OPERATIONS CHECK GOOD, LEAK CHECK GOOD. PERFORMED ADDITIONAL TAXI CHECK WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED.
DURING SCHEDULED INSP, FOUND LT ENGINE INBD SIDE ENGINE PAD TO "Y" DUCT BLEED AIR ANTI-ICING DUCT CRACKED AT BELLOWS, STAINLESS STEEL BRAIDING BLOWN-OUT AND FRAYED. MX HISTORY UNKNOWN, POSSIBLY CAUSED BY MIS-ALIGNMENT. RECOMMEND MFG INVESTIGATE WHETHER THIS IS A HIGH REPLACEMENT COMPONENT OR AN OCCASIONAL ISSUE RELATED TO INSTALLATION. RECOMMEND A NOTE MADE IN THE MM REGARDING DUCT INSTALLATION ALIGNMENT.
DURING SCHEDULED INSPECTION, FOUND LT ENGINE NACELLE ANTI-ICE CROSSOVER BLEED AIR DUCT CRACKED AT BELLOWS, STAINLESS STEEL BRAIDING FRAYED AND BLOWN-OUT. MX HISTORY UNKNOWN. MAY POSSIBLY HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY PARTIAL MIS-ALIGNMENT STRESS. RECOMMEND MFG INVESTIGATE WHETHER THIS IS A HIGH REPLACEMENT COMPONENT OR MORE OF AN OCCASIONAL OR ISOLATED REPLACEMENT REQUIREMENT. RECOMMEND A NOTE BE MADE IN THE MM REMINDING INSTALLING TECH TO INSPECT AND ADJUST DUCT ASSY'S, ALIGNMENT DURING INSTALLATION.
CREW REPORTED LT ENGINE WOULD NOT ACHIEVE CALCULATED TAKEOFF POWER N1. VERIFIED COMPLAINT, ENGINE COULD NOT ACHIEVE MORE THAN 94 PERCENT, N1 AND NOTED NO RPM DROP DURING EFC AUTHORITY CHECKS. ALSO NOTED FLUCTUATING ENGINE VIBRATION INDICATION. EFC AUTHORITY ADJUSTMENT HAD MINIMAL EFFECT, WOULD ONLY GET LESS THAN SPECIFIED 1.5 PERCENT N1 DROP, AND THEN COULD ONLY ACHIEVE 92 PERCENT N1. CHECKED T0 PROBE AND EEC, SWAPPED EEC'S, PROBLEM CONTINUED. REPLACED HMU (JET FUEL CONTROL) WITH OVERHAULED UNIT AND ADJUSTED ENGINE RIGGING AS REQUIRED, VERIFIED ENGINE PERFORMANCE NOW WITHIN MM SERVICE LIMITS. SUGGEST HMU MFG AND/OR ENGINE MFG TEARDOWN AND INVESTIGATE HMU FOR INTERNAL FAULT CAUSING LOW POWER, EFC AUTHORITY FAULTS.
