REMOVED FLAP FOLLOW UP SWITCH P/N 45AS61015-23 S/N 08A432AND INSTALLED AN OVERHAULED FLAP FOLLOW UP SWITCH P/N 45AS61015-23 S/N 04G124. OVERHAUL COMPLETED BY AEROMACH CRSNU2R044L 28/MAR/2024 WO 0529230. WORK PERFORMED IN REFERENCE TO BEECH 400A AMM 27-50-00. OPS CHECKS GOOD
ON FINAL APPROACH INTO IAD, THE LH PUMP PRESS LO AND THE HYD LEVEL LO LIGHTS ILLUMINATED THE HYD PRESS GAUGE INDICATED NORMAL SYSTEM PRESS. AFTER LANDING BRAKING WAS NORMAL INITIALLY THEN FAILED TOTALLY. APPLIED EMERGENCY NITROGEN BRAKES TO STOP A/O. ENGINE HYDRAULIC LINE PN: AE2847G0536-180, NSN AND INSTALLED NEW LINE PN AE2847G0536-180, NSN IAW THE HAWKER 400/400A AMM 29-00-00. REMOVED LH HYDRAULIC PUMP P/N: 45AS65020-001 S/N: MX717132C AND INSTALLED OVERHAULED PUMP PN: 45AS65020-001, SN: MX705894C IAW AMM 29-10-00. ALL OPS AND LEAK CHECKS GOOD.
LT LOWER TR DOOR INBOARD FAIRING ANGLE CRACKED. REPAIRED ANGLE BY INSTALLATION OF DOUBLER IAW BEECHJET 400XP CMM CH 78-30-07 REPAIR NR 16.
Z CHANNEL UNDER FLOOR AFT OF CENTER PEDISTAL CRACKED. REPAIRED Z CHANNEL UNDER FLOOR, AS PER HAWKER 400XP SRM 51-50-45.
UPON LEVELING OFF AT FL400, PILOT AND THE CAPTAIN STARTED NOTICING THAT IT WAS GETTING EXTREMELY HOT IN THE COCKPIT, VERY QUICKLY. THERE WERE NO ANNUNCIATOR INDICATORS LIT, TOOK OUT THE PILOT HANDBOOK AND STARTED LOOKING THROUGH IT TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. ALREADY HAD THE COCKPIT TEMPERATURE CONTROL ON "MANUAL" AND IN THE FULL COLD POSITION, SO WE SWITCHED IT TO THE "AUTO" POSITION AND NOTED NO CHANGE. WE THEN TRIED ISOLATING THE ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS BY SWITCHING THE CONTROL TO "L" FOR A MINUTE, NO CHANGE AND "R" FOR A MINUTE, NO CHANGE. ABOUT THIS TIME, WE NOTICED IT WAS GETTING HAZY IN THE COCKPIT AND PILOT TURNED AROUND TO SEE WHAT THE CONDITIONS IN THE CABIN WERE AND NOTED THAT IT WAS HAZIER IN THE CABIN THAN IN THE COCKPIT. THE CAPTAIN AND PILOT IMMEDIATELY DECLARED AN EMERGENCY, PERFORMED THE SMOKE REMOVAL MEMORY ITEMS, AND STARTED AN EMERGENCY DESCENT, DIRECTLY BELOW US. PILOT COMPLETED THE SMOKE REMOVAL PROCEDURES CHECKLIST AS WELL AS THE EMERGENCY DESCENT CHECKLIST AND PULLED THE OXYGEN MASKS FOR THE PASSENGERS. WE DECIDED TO TURN OFF THE CABIN PRESSURE SOURCE SINCE IT WAS STILL EXTREMELY HOT AND SOON AFTER NOTICED THE HEAT DIMINISHING SLIGHTLY AND THE SMOKE CLEARING. WE DECIDED NOT TO DO AN EMERGENCY EVACUATION SINCE THE SMOKE HAD BEEN REMOVED FROM THE ACFT AND THERE WAS NO FIRE OR ANY OTHER EMERGENCY SITUATION. AT THE TIME OF FILING THIS REPORT, THE DEFECT HAS NOT BEEN IDENTIFIED.
DURING TRAINING FLT, DURING 1 MANEUVER, NOTICED VARIOUS ANNUNCIATORS FLICKER ON & OFF. NOTICED SMOKE COMING OUT OF GLARE SHIELD. FOLLOWED CHECKLIST & IMMEDIATELY TURNED BATTERY & MASTER GENS TO EMER, SMOKE STOPPED. OPENED MANUAL PRESSURE KNOB & SMOKE EXITED COCKPIT. DECLARED AN EMERGENCY & VECTORED BACK TO AIRPORT. TURNED BATTERY BACK ON TO GET MLG DOWN & FULL FLAPS DOWN & ACCOMPLISHED A NORMAL APPROACH. MX FOUND "EMER WARN LT" & "COPLT WARN" CIRCUIT BREAKERS TRIPPED. FOUND DIODES CR655 & CR656 ON TERMINAL BOARD TB107 MELTED. DIODES REPLACED. NO CAUSE FOR MELTED DIODES DETERMINED, AS A PREVENTATIVE MEASURE 3 ASSOCIATED CIRCUIT BOARDS REPLACED.
